I wonder if their fans are jumping for joy like LSU fans would be if Les was gone?

'SC. They were blown out in several games this season. We at least we able to be competitive in all our games.

I would have to argue that when it's all said and done that USC will have had the worst year...Not only did they get blown out a couple of times and didn't win the PAC 10 for the first time in years. They will be loosing their beloved coach Pete, and will probably be place on probation before its over...

USC's 2009 season is very close to a mirror image of LSU's 2008 season. Difference is, Carroll apparently saw the similarities and hauled butt.

I wouldn't trade places with USC. Even though I believe we under achieve under Miles, I would not want to swap that for a possible probation and sanctions. USC is always picked in the preseason to be at the top and fails to deliver by the end of the season.

Actually we should have lost to Washington, Miss State, Georgia, did lose to Ole Miss, Florida, and Alabama. Should have been 6-6 and we are 8-8 in the SEC over the last 2 years. That is with top ten recruiting classes year after year after year. Every good thing promoted about Miles has come to an end. Everyone though he was not a good coach, and this year on national TV not once but twice proved it.

They both had very similar seasons, but anyway:

Push:

Record

In favor of USC:

Have a really high-quality win (@ Ohio State). LSU has none.

Won the bowl. LSU didn't.

In favor of LSU:

All losses were to ranked teams and in close fashion. USC lost two blowouts, and to three teams that didn't finish ranked (and one that didn't even make a bowl).

Had a better conference record in a better conference.

One common opponent: @ Washington. LSU won, USC lost.

LSU finished higher in the final polls.

Based on preseason expectations, LSU fared better than USC.

So IMO USC had the worse year, but both underachieved.
