Still hard to believe a tiny school like coastal fn Carolina has a better lineup than we do? How does this happen
I'm not sure they have a better line-up than LSU, but the short answer to your question is "size".

All of their players looked to be 5'8" to 5'10". Baseball is a crap shoot when trying to determine a kids ability. Coaches look at size and speed and go from there. What cannot be measured is heart and determination.

Because of the size of CC team many of the kids had no other options. Their firstbaseman is 5'9"!!!!!

know that isn't a groundbreaking revelation, but we never seized momentum and held it. That is huge playing at home IMO.

The pitching fell apart after 4 innings. I mean we were still scoring runs in the 9th. You can't give up back to back homers. That was the end.

Stoney Brooke was a #4 seed who had no business of being a regional host.

Coastal Carolina should have hosted instead of NC ST. They're probably the best #2 seed in the tournament. Stop comparing these ballclubs. Coastal has the #8 RPI right now. They're not an underdog team.

Lol. Will you rantards knock off the Stony Brook comparisons?

This is not a gallant little underdog surprising everyone. This is one of the perpetually top programs in the nation.

They belong here, they know it, and they're playing like it.

Pretty postive SB wasn't ranked in the top 15 in the polls and had a top 10 RPI. Just because nobody has heard of a school doesn't make them an unknown like SB. Hell SB was a #4 seed

Certainly offensively they can obviously hit and score runs
