I feel like JJ2’s best attribute was his clutchness in big moments, which is yet to be seen with Boutte. But here’s hoping!

Idk i think we've seen a small sample size of it against Ole Miss

He reminds of Jetts who is more athletic and faster than Chase but not as strong as Chase. Not much difference in all 3 of them.

There are huge differences among all of those. Jetts has very narrow hips like a cornerback. Chase is built like a bull. Jetts' game is eluding defenders. Chase is a good route runner, too, but his game is bullying corners. That's not Jetts at all. Boutte is quicker than Jamaar; probably quicker than Jetts, too.

Boutte is more explosive than either of those great receivers. He is not the bully that Chase is, and he does not have the feinting ability of Jetts, who is a great actor, selling DBs on routes before exploding in another direction. I would like to see more maturity from Boutte. Carry the ball into the end zone and catch every ball. If he develops the toughness that comes with maturity he has the upside of Steve Smith and a Hall of Fame future.

Good breakdown.

You know, JJ2 was supremely clutch but he took a couple of years off of my life with that double catch on 3rd down @Bama.

Judging him by the Ole Miss game, if he stays injury free, he will be in a class by himself.

I have said Chase as well several times here. Doesn't hurt that he also wears #1. He is a little smaller than chase as a freshman, but the way he runs routes and attacks the ball reminds me a lot of a faster Chase.

I also compared Chase as a sophomore to Steve Smith in the past. Diggs as a comparison for Boutte is actually not bad.

I don't think anyone would be saying Chase if they didn't wear the same number.

People really underestimate Chase's build and strength. He's a big, strong guy with wide shoulders. Draft folks are calling him a faster Anquan Boldin. I bet Chase was around 210/215 in 2019. Program says 207 but that was after Summer workouts at weigh-in.

Boutte is not built like that. Diggs is a great comp both size and type of game.

Similar to Devonta Smith. Size, play making ability and yards after catch.

He's already like 15 lbs heavier than Devonta Smith

Given his athletic built and the way he breaks off the line, he has an uncanny resemblance to Shaquille O'Neal
