2 teams control their own destiny in the east and Florida aint one of them. Florida could win the rest of their games and would still finish second to Kentucky if Kentucky also wins out.

I think Georgia has the toughest schedule of the 3 playing in consecutive weeks Florida @ a neutral site, @Kentucky and Auburn then after Umass finishing off with a rivalry game referred to as "Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate" against Georgia Tech.

Florida
@Kentucky
Auburn
UMass
Georgia Tech

Kentucky opponents remaining, with the exception of Georgia, are going to be a function of staying focussed, I think, though being at Tennessee and Mizzoo this year may be harder than typically.

Vanderbilt
@Missouri
Georgia
@Tennessee
Middle Tennessee
@Louisville

Florida Opponents remaining are as follows. Not sure if Idaho, Mizzoo or So Cal will provide much competition in the swamp, Georgia is a neutral site, Fla State is a rivalry game and not always very predictable.

Georgia
Missouri
South Carolina
Idaho
@Florida State

It will be an interesting few weeks for sure. Imagine playing Kentucky in the SECCG.

Florida. Beating them would almost cancel out the loss.

100% Florida. Need our loss to look as strong as possible

I agree with our loss needing to be as strong as possible. I'm just not certain Florida winning does that. If Georgia wins what does it say about us beating the team that beat the team we lost to? Conversely, if Florida wins what does it say if the team that beat us also beat the team we beat? I can't say for sure having Florida win is the stronger statement for LSU.

Pull for Kentucky to beat UGA and represent the SEC East.

Florida. You never want to play a team you already beat the same year.

Yes, yes you are.

I don’t want to face Dan Mullen again. I feel like he has Aranda’s number and is one of the only coaches in the country who can say that
LOL, no.

2016 LSU was up 23-9 with less than 7 minutes to go in the game when Fournette fumbled at the Miss St 27. Had he not, we dran another 2-3 minutes at least and kick a FG. Anyway they replaced Fitz, who played awful, and when we put our backups in the actual passing QB at Miss St torched us in garbage time. They then recovered an onside kick and made another quick score with our backups still playing. We did nothing our next drive (typical LSU offense that never knew how to close a game on offense), and we stopped them on their next drive effectively ending the game.

2017 was a bad game, but I always laugh that LSU fans can pin all that on Aranda, yet say nothing of the 7 freaking points we scored all freaking game??? Maybe have the offense do their job for once?

2018 yep, we gave up 200 rush at 5 a clip which is very bad, but at the same time, our rush defense is just not good. UGA's Swift averaged 6 a carry on 12 attempts and Holyfield averaged 8 on 7 attempts. Basically they got what they wanted against us too, yet UGA decided to panic early and get away from running the ball. Also with UF, we had several times to claim the lead late yet LSU, yet again, could not close or win a game on offense.

This has nothing to do with Mullen vs Aranda, and more to do with poor rush defense for LSU standards over the past two years. I bet you didn't even realize that we gave up 194 yards last year on 5.1 ypc vs a UF team that finished with 4 wins. LSU had a stretch last year where they were just getting gashed game after game.

I’ve always felt that Kirby Smart is extremely overrated and not a good gameday coach
After the loss to Auburn last year UGA beat Auburn by 3 TDs, and an Oklahoma team that beat a 12-2 Ohio St team by 15, a 11-3 TCU team (twice), by 18 and 24 points, and a 10-3 Okie St team by 13. They ended up losing in OT to Bama. UGA isn't close to as good as they were last year, but That's more on the losses on defense and poor OC.

quote:

I wouldn’t be too worried about playing UGA again compared to Florida

I'd be more worried playing a pissed off UGA team out for revenge that obviously didn't play their best (running the ball more would have easily made the game much closer), vs a UF team that beat us after giving all they could.
