Who designed this offense?

Who do you think decided that the I formation would be the base formation for this offense, Miles or Cameron. Granted they do throw in some shotgun, some 3 WR sets, etc. but the I is the basic starting and go to formation. Did Cameron not bring in his offense when he was hired on or was he only hired to run Miles offense?

OK, phrased it wrong. Who decided we should run this type offense at LSU these days? NOt many teams, if any, in the pros use it and there probably aren't a whole lot of major college programs that use it either on a regular basis as their basic offense. NOt just the formation, but the most basic plays that go along with it. Such as the toss dive. In an era where the game has evolved into a more wide open game, LSU's offense hasn't evolved.

It's pretty much Cameron's variation of the Coryell offense, focused on a stout running game and deep routes, with Miles' favorite plays mixed in there.

Cam calls plays from a list of plays Miles gives him IMO

The toss dive is the new short side option

Everyone in this thread please go listen to the interview posted above. Listen to the whole thing, actually listen to it twice then come back and spill some more of your obvious dumb arse opinions. That without you knowing makes everyone know without a doubt you have zero knowledge of playing or coaching the game.....thanks

In other words, nothing like Coryell's offense.

So you really know that little about how a game plan works, or are you just trying (and failing) to be cute?

what makes you think it's not his offense?

Ray Charles, Laurel and Hardy, et al.

Well, Cam considers himself a Coryell disciple and says his philosophy is based off of the Air Coryell offense. His offense is a lot more focused on the run game than Coryell's while still keeping the deep, vertical routes.
Ironically, he was fired from the Ravens for breaking away from the run game and throwing downfield too much.

Don't need a list for 4 plays, run, run, pass, punt.

The 49ers, one of the best rushing teams in the NFL, run out of it a good bit. Sometimes 2-3 times in a row, just like us
Edit to say: I mean an up the middle run out of the single wide receiver I set.
