If I just had to pick a team, I would pick a good team. As much as I hate to say it, I'd prolly pick Alabama.

Funny, I've always been drawn to the big red too. I guess there's something nostalgic about them. Only thing in state. Corn fed beasts. Tradition. Not flashy/cocky. (could NEVER pull for da U). All of the sellouts/fan support. Home of the CWS. They have a packers/bears type quality. Showing my age- I always pulled for them in the Big 8.

If LSU football went dark for a year or two, I would more than likely root for the Cornhuskers of Nebraska. I always liked Dr.Tom Osborne when he coached the program. And now they have Bo Pelini which adds a plus.
2nd choice...would probably be Florida State because of Jimbo Fisher.
I would still root against Tulane though. And even though I am Catholic, I hope NDame loses every game. LOL>

I would go with a scrappy, smaller school - their fans are adorable. Arkansas State or Southern Miss, maybe. Or just support our FCS schools, NSU and McNeese, 100%.
There was a time it would have been Florida State, but I think that has passed now.
