I have a uncle who lives in Houston who has donated greatly since he graduated in 1959. He was an investment banker during his prime. My uncle John did not like Joe Alleva and was fed up with his bullshite. Uncle John quit donating but has made a truce to his alma mater.

My uncle’s ancestors owned 600 acres of what is now Siegen lane road in BR.

Great self made man. Has a couple chicken houses but he’s an genius in electronics.

30 years ago his wife was a hairdresser and he was crawling around under houses installing those old school huge satellite dishes. Then became a key contributor in todays satellite technology and part owner in PrimeStar then direct tv

Just look at the names outside of all those gates going into tiger stadium. They’re not flashy but those are the Boosters where the money comes from they are the ones that are parking in the parking lot by tiger stadium

Currently drilling 2 wells on the Moran Ranch right now. The amount of land that family has is ridiculous here in Desoto Parish. Would love to know how much EXCO paid him for the mineral rights.

I know they have different money I’m just saying I never heard that Shaq pushes a lot of cash funding for projects or contracts. I mean maybe some but not sure. I always felt those guys that have made it big in sports and come back to promote or do it through media are adding significant value to the school that way, and don’t need to push their personal money to the school. Maybe they do both. I do remember Mathieu putting up a Million for something 3-5 years ago so I don’t want to discount that.

My TAF rep said Shaq doesn’t give many dollars (but does continue to do a number of appearances) and it’s directly related to something Joe Dean told Shaq about “owing” his success to LSU and needing to pay it back. Apparently that stuck is his craw and he does not donate many dollars as a direct result.

Shaq was a big supporter of the Student Athlete Academic Center and did stand firmly behind that building.

And also look at the companies that have tailgates on south stadium drive right across the street from the stadium. The CEO’s and other higher ups oat those places are big time boosters.

Well Shaq is great for us, especially being around as much as he is willing to be around. Like the game Saturday. Wish we had his social media reaction after the 2 point conversion.
I was kind of glad that whatever happened with his son on the basketball team didn't go sideways.

Unique memorabilia, origin story for one of your nation championship LSU quarterbacks. It's like the Kurt Warner story. Any boosters interested. From your forgotten QB who won a national championship. If you BS LSU to other alumni, this will be one of a kind. Come on Shaq , RC or who will upshow them with interesting inspirational story.
