They'll have a few losses by the time they get to us. It's been great watching JFF on TV at every offseason event imaginable. I hope he remembers how to put his pads on.

One thing I'll never understand with that mind set...sure on paper it sounds great, "blah blah is undefeated facing LSU next week." but as we've seen the last 6 years it doesn't matter the competition we face, we win the games on our schedule, we go to the show.

With Les' recruiting, there is no reason they should be out of the top 6/7, unless people vote on easiest schedules.

That's really my only gripe, compounded by aTm hype.

I don't think JFF will have the same success he had last year. He caught people by surprise and now they have had a year to plan for him. Also, his ego has blown out of proportion. Not that I blame him but he has a target painted on his back.

This. Johnny won't have a year like he did again.

aTm might have one lose when they come into DV or they might be undefeated but one thing is for sure they will definetely have a lose when they leave DV.

The Faggies won't be top 5 by then ... they're going to come crashing back down to Earth this year.

Totally agree with this. Idk why people think UGA will be so good. They lost more than LSU did on both sides of the ball and had an extremely overrated defense.

They lost some defensive players, but the core of that offense is still there. Murray, Marshall, Gurley, Mitchell, Bennett. That offense is still one of the most explosive in the SEC and it is a balanced offense unlike A&M's Manziel show. As long as we let Murray be himself in big games (panic and start throwing ints) we'll win convincingly.

IMO TCU being the first game and Bama and A&M on the tail end will be our toughest opponents. I'm not feeling any vibes and frankly I don't have any thought into how we do this year. I mean that defense S/T and offense in 2011 was the shite, hopefully we can pull that magic again this year.

A&M will have a meh season. Too many key players to replace and JFF has the mother of all sophomore slumps.

Manziel lost one his biggest protectors in the draft. No more Swope, I don't follow the fear of A&M.

Crap, Florida beat them in their house with A&M's best squad on the field.

Sumlin is going to rely to much on Manziel to do magic tricks, ala Case Keenum.

If Manziel doens't get time, he can't scramble. He'll be hurried.

I honestly think they'll be beaten a few times this season.

I think we'll win.

We have Bama before them and a bye week in-between that game. The Bama game will really set the tone for the final push against aTm and Arky.

Why are LSU fans thinking they win because A&M loses so much when they lost more? I understand LSU recruits exceptionally well, but don't be a homer and think everyone is replaceable.

Also, lulz at people saying A&M can't win cause they couldn't even beat Florida. Do some of you not understand that teams, especially in their first season under a new coach with a freshman QB, improve as the season progresses? They would've dropped a big ole buttchugging whooping on Florida if they played later in the season.

That's not to discount Florida's win. You gotta play who you play when you play, but if you think the team that lost to Florida will be coming to Death Valley I think you'll be sorely disappointed. They'll be much better.

Sorry, thought this was a message board for discussion. I always forget it's solely a cheer leading team. My mistake.

Tiger fans count on the young defense to be playing at a much higher level in week 13(?) of the season than in September. Like Manziel did last year. Do you think QB is the only position that can improve as the season goes on?

This is the best thing LSU has going for them about this game IMO. The defense should, as you said, be playing much closer to what we've seen in the past.

Not in the slightest. I just think they start off on equal or better footing than LSU. I think they will also improve more in their second year under a new system whereas LSU is in the first year of theirs so there will be some struggles.

Lastly, I just think JFF is like nothing we've seen in a long time. He's the best player at the most important position, that can't be understated. If I'm an Aggie I'm extremely worried about how he handles the pressure/media, but if he has a sophomore slump it won't at all be because he "surprised people" last time. The kid is an insane talent. Now maybe he can't balance the newfound fame and has a slump, but it won't be because people solved him, it'll just be because he wasn't putting in the time required.

It sure as hell can be overstated. Aggie fan apparently thinks that all other SEC teams are at the mercy of Manziel. LSU made him a nonfactor last year. 0 TDs, 3 INTs. Don't give me any of this beginning of the season crap; we played them on their home field halfway through the season. If you don't have it together at that point in the season, that's a personal problem. Stop with the excuses.
