Based upon what ive observed over the years, I would suspect large percentage of saints fans don't own vehicles. Bus or bike or walking is preferred means of transportation.
Classic TIGERLEE Post.

the question from the OP is in the state of Louisiana, not the gulf south region. In the state of Louisiana, I would say LSU. In the gulf south region, probably the Saints. Simply put look at seating capacity and sell outs, IMO, I don't think the Saints would sell out of a 100,000 plus stadium. For instance and I certainly am aware of the displacement issues during Katrina, but the Saints were unable to sell out their games that were played in Tiger STadium.

because they fricking sucked. If LSU was that terrible no one would go either. See: the 90's and LSU basketball attendance usually

In New Orleans area... Saints >>>> LSU
In the rest of the state... LSU > Saints
Shreveport is now Saints country. Not Cowboy country. Lake Charles has always been Saints territory.
LSU does not even carry all of Baton Rouge the way the Saints carry New Orleans. How many diehard Southern fans are also LSU fans?
You have schools like Tulane, Southern, ULL, Louisiana Tech, ULM that actually have some die hard followers and they want nothing to do with LSU.
90% Louisiana residents are Saints fans.
80% Louisiana residents are LSU fans.

Well by that logic the saints have pretty much sucked their entire franchise history..... How could they possibly be more popular?

Not gonna get my fans at a shitty team's games in a college stadium an hour away. And I actually think you're right about the lack of cars thing. Many of the po' in NOLA are huge Saints fans and couldn't care less about LSU.

Dumb statement. The Saints consistently sell out 72,000 and they had a season ticket waiting list as high as 50,000 people a few years ago.

I can go along with that when the Saints were pretty terrible and as I mentioned I give the benefit of doubt with displacement of a lot of people because of Katrina. Certainly, I agree with what you say about BB and I fortunately was at LSU during the Dale Brown Hay Days when I had to camp out on the Assembly Center ramp for a day and a half to get inside forth LSU vs. Kentucky Basketball game and again talking about right now, do you think the SAints could fill a 100,000 plus capacity on a Sunday afternoon? Cetainly your opinion and just asking, do you think they could do that?

we'll all meet at Slinky's at 1 the day of the first home game. I feel like we can air our grievances to each other and come away a stronger TD.com

I don't think a dumb statement at all and certainly as I stated my opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours and you state a few years ago. I don't know and have not called the ticket office. Is there a waiting list right now in the present for 50,000 more season tickets. Right now today as you and I both type. If so I sit corrected?
