bad cat, robb bobb, and tojo all have their agenda's.
and apparently, if you say something good about JJ, or even hint at Jarrett Lee being the #2 QB (which the coaches have already implied) you are dogging Lee...
it's just comical

Don't worry about me.
It's no big deal.
I made a mistake in commentating on a certain play last year, specs pointed it out, and he probably just thought I was forever a moron, when he saw my post.

quote:No, it wasn't Doc. It was one of the other posters who insist that Lee cannot possibly win the starting job other than by injury, one of the ones Doc insists on defending every time someone disagrees in the slightest with their absurd insistance (even though he claims not to believe it himself). For whatever reason, Doc claims to believe that there is a possibility that either Lee or Jefferson could win the job legitimately, but insists on disagreeing with me every time I suggest that exact same thing. So I have no idea what he actually thinks, as he tends to post whatever opinion seems most argumentative.
Did Doc really say that, i.e. that he would boo Lee if he was the starter on our opener?
But there actually was a poster who did indeed claim that he would boo if Lee took the field to start the Washington game (unless Jefferson was injured, apparently).

is it possible for lee to win the starting job?
yes.
is it likely, or even probable?
no.
there you go.

If Lee started, and got off to a bad start, I would predict some boos, of course, while I wouldn't be one of them. But, I certainly think booing a player as a mere protest is pathetic. It would make much more sense to protest by cheering the next QB when he took the field.

quote:I think 99% of people believe that, including me, but in the posts sometimes people get a little more animated with their language by using absolute terms like 'never', etc. and that sparks a 14 page thread with people basically arguing with each other while simultaneously agreeing on the substance of the argument.
That is the Million dollar question. From the last two performances JJ showed, I would have to give him the upper hand due to the fact that he didnt do anything to lose either games!! But, I would not completely shut the door on JL, givin the experience he gained from last year!
If people would leave it at that, there would be little further discussion. But, I guess, that wouldn't be as fun!
The intranets unfortunately do not allow for much thoughtful debate.

Dude, if you're talking about me you're crazy. I'd never boo a college kid... EVER! However, I am the one that said Lee will not start in September for any reason other than injury and I will stick by that comment. And now that we're hearing your boy has already thrown his first pick-six in '09 and we're still 6 months away from the season doesn't really make any argument for him hold water right now. He'd have to have one LIGHTS OUT rest of the spring to even push JJ right now.

I believe Les will put the best QB on the field, period. Last yr is history. QB will be in much better shape this yr. Doesn't really matter to me who starts and who rotates. Not concerned.
How the RB and OL evolves is my biggest concern.

JJ threw a pick six. It doesn't matter anyway. and who cares. He needs to get that out now against a our d.

For the last fricking time. No he didn't. He threw a pick on a 50yd jump ball to end a session but it was not a pick six. Stop listening to Jordy and spreading the same lie.
