For me it's White and Adams, they were good last year but nothing like this year. White is a beast out there and Adams coverage has gotten much better.

They both made all sec teams last year.

He has been our best cover corner for 3 years.

How is the joke on me? I simply responded to your post that etling hasn't faced a good defense, yet guice apparently gets a pass.

Not to change subject but the discussion pf Key, Beckwith and Riley left me wondering who is the 4th LB in the 3/4 lineup????

Neal has been solid. 33 tackles 3.5 sacks

I watched Duke as a senior in the HS championship he dominated. At the time he was a 2/3 star without an LSU offer. I couldn't believe he didn't have an offer. Several weeks later he got an offer, I knew it wouldn't be a mistake.

Everyone knew Guice was a beast. Him playing well wasnt a surprise to amyone that has followed him. Etling had very lack luster stats while playing in the shite division of the big 10.

Any chance Riley plays on Subdays?

Youre joking right?

6' 230 lbs that can run. He will get his chance. He may need to add 5-10 lbs of muscle to be starter

Michael Divinity is the starting F linebacker right now. We just run nickel so much so you never see him on the field.

And the answer the OP's question, the biggest surprise to me this year is Kendall Beckwith. I always knew he was an extremely solid linebacker for us but this year he's turned into an elite linebacker. He's taken the biggest jump from last season to this season IMO.

Another player for the discussion and deserving a few atta boys is Caleb Roddy. He may not be the one contributing as much as others on the list but he came from further back in the pack to be a very solid contributor. Futures bright, get this boy some shades

From that thread:

Tyron Johnson. People forget how highly recruited he was coming in. Could make a big impact in the passing game if he makes some strides.

I'll go with someone really unheralded:

Josh Growden our punter

He's second in the country in avg in october and has greatly improved since the start of the year.

BMouton has been trending upward

Last year when Moore got injured Fournette's productivity plummeted with Mouton. This year he's been impressive replacing Moore - namely this past week.

For the better : Riley, and Ed Alexander
For the worse: Harris, and I'm not bashing him . I have always been a huge fan of his because he seemed like such a good guy and he is from Shreve. It just really says a lot about our past coaches because he actually got worse and I expected a breakout year.
