The way they played in the CWS? Sure. But a lot of posters are forgetting how suspect that pitching staff was going into the CWS. The feeling on this board was that the only path to the championship was through the winners’ bracket.

The 2025 LSU team had two of the top three pitchers in the nation. Then they had Shores, Cowan and Evans. That was a lot of reliable, good pitching. Nothing I said implied Paul Skenes wasn't the best of the best. WTF are you going on about?
But going into the two NCAA tourneys, I would have taken 2025’s two top starters over 2023’s. Floyd found his other gear, though, and was great in the postseason.

Ty Floyd set a national championship strike out record, was an absolute monster for the last 2 months of the season and Paul Skenes is the most dominant pitcher ever in college baseball.
