For me, it's 2012 without question.

Last night. We had it won and shot ourselves in the foot. 2012, Bama just had the perfect play call. Last night shouldn't have went to OT.

Both games the best team on that field that night lost. Both games had the LSU offense in the last 2 minutes of the game in position to put their foot on the neck of Bama and both times the LSU offense stayed very conservative. Both times an LSU special teams let down gave Alabama momentum. Both times the Alabama team marched right down the field to get what they needed.

Both nights, LSU led after 59 minutes and blew it.

Last night.

2012 was the coalescence of a damned good team scheming the shite out of a team that decided to run the exact fricking gameplan from the previous meeting, and was then to fricking stubborn to change it.

I thought this was going to be a Tigers last night versus the Saints today thread.

Hard to say. I honestly did not give LSU a shot in this game last night. If you were going to tell me Amari Cooper would drop 4 passes and we would contain Yeldon and Henry, I would have laughed.

2012, I felt we had the team to do it. That one was the bigger for me.

Bigger choke?
Long-term - 1/9/12
Short term - last night.

Both chokes. Both to Alabama. Both unnecessary.

I think this thread is about the last 2 LSU/Bama games in Tiger Stadium.

The best team on a particular night/day NEVER loses.

Well why let a chance to take one more shot at 1/9 pass you by? Lol.
If it's about chokes in reg seasons 2012 and 2014, it would have to be... both of 'em. Because they were both LSU's to win and LSU choked and lost. Alabama is opportunistic and can close the deal. LSU isn't, can't, and doesn't.

Sorry, I should have specified regular season in TS.

I'd say 2012 due to the timing after 1/9.

1/9 is by far the worst loss in programs history IMO. And not that we lost, but the way we lost.
