Besides the Ware pass vs. AU 2010, over the head fake punt vs. UF 2010, and Brad Wing's fake punt last year, Les has not been the Mad Hatter;
since 2007.
It's astounding to me that people still think of Les as a go-for-it-on-4th-down-pull-tricks-out-of-his-sleeve kind of coach when in reality he hasn't done much of anything with calculated craziness since 2007.

Les was neutered after all the interceptions in 2008!

Hes probably reading this thread in awe, amazed that in the same thread there are people bitching about not enough trick plays alongside people bitching that he didn't just call run plays only in the red zone. And if you catch him in private, he'd probably curse his WRs.

Trick plays should only be called if the coaching staff sees something that shows the other team is primed for it. For both of the "flip over the holder's head fake FGs" the defense was crashing the edges and not leaving anyone wide to guard against a fake. If they wouldn't have been doing that, no fake. The coaching staff must have felt that the Gators were overplaying the "run up the middle" and were primed for the jump pass. I think it would have been much more credible with Spencer Ware in the backfield, but that's just me.
All that said, I would like to see more of the "go for it on 4th down" Les Miles.
