re: Where’s the idea that Brian Kelly is “un-likeable” come from?

Is this just Tiger Rant morons coming up with this because we haven’t won a title yet?
He came here for one reason and one reason only and that is to win a national championship. That by itself should make people like him. He didn’t come here because he enjoys having a hot seat, or because he wants to be forced to pay his own players money out of his own pocket, or because he wants a more difficult path to get to the CFP than he had at Notre Dame. He came here to win a National championship and has guaranteed us that it will happen.

Anyone that’s ever got to spend any time with him 1 on 1 has a different opinion of Kelly. He’s a good dude

It’s how many people feel when they watch him speak. It doesn’t mean that folks don’t want him to win but he lacks charisma.

He’s Kalen Deboer in that regard. Great at D2 or whatever the frick but nothing to show where it actually matters.
So if you were AD, you would fire Kelly? If so who would you want to hire that will definitely do better over the next 3-4 years. Keep in mind the new coach will likely want to bring in his staff and we would lose several recruits and current players to transfer portal. All I ever hear on this board is bitching, but I have not heard one suggestion that viably makes LSU football any better going forward. Or at least I have not heard any intelligent suggestions.

From the media.
They’re still pushing it. See the article that came out after the Vandy game.
It’s nonsense click bait bullshite.
From our fans. He’s not meeting extremely high expectations, so a portion of the base are pissy and over scrutinize every little thing.
25 is a big season for winning over this portion of the base.

I don't know all of the ins and outs of that situation. Do you think that if he was ultimately responsible that he would have been charged with involuntary manslaughter?
Tell me all of the facets of the case, instead of just repeating the trope.

It was literally made up by the media.

Love the guy! Some fans will complain just to complain!

Sent a kid up 30 + feet in a hydraulic lift in 60 mph wind to video practice even though he’d been advised to have practice indoors due to the weather then didn’t even stop practice when the kid fell to his death.

Seems like he’d be held liable by the school, government, and kids family if that were true, maddy. What came out of the investigation?

He was hated by everyone outside of Notre Dame when at Notre Dame.
Those people still hate him and now the Notre Dame fanbase/media snobs also hate him.
Some southerners hate him because he’s from the north.
It’s not that he’s unlikable, but rather that a lot of people don’t like him for various reasons.
Just win baby!

He is a good coach, not a great one
His personality turns off a lot of people and a lot of people don't have the ability to dislike someone while also understanding that the person can still be really good at their job

Pretty pointed and detailed accusations. Surely the ramifications were severe, no?
Posted on 12/21/24 at 2:59 pm to Madking
So you repeated the facts then? If those were the facts, I’ll ask again, he should have faced severe sanctions, right?
Posted on 12/21/24 at 3:01 pm to DBG
And you were given an answer. This was a big story, there’s plenty on it yet you’re here playing spin doctor and being dishonest in your little bubble because of course facts don’t interest you at all.
