Mett will start until the Alabama game then Jerrad comes in to take over from there on out.

Politics play a big part of that decision and Philip Rivers son will probably get that nod.

No, the stupid ones are those who actually believe that we need a mobile QB to win.

Did you not say that he sounded like another JJ?

Since when does stating that he is like J.J. but probably better mean that I don't think the kid can improve.

Nobody is saying that you dolt

Randall is a legit passer as well. If he's better than rivers, which is a possibility, that's who needs to play

Or brother. Big deal.

I knew he had some kind of relation to the guy. Really didn't care about it that much, should have looked it up but again didn't really care that much about it.

You never know he might be his son!

No one has said that in this thread.

I'm just defending Randall against all the idiots who immediately associate him with JJ as soon as they see "athletic, black QB" without ever seeing the kid play

Fact is right now he is 3rd in line for the starting position

So fricking wrong.

He is going to see PT way before Rivers.

He was way better as a HS prospect than Jefferson. Great arm and quick release

His HS film looks like a right handed college Michael Vick

Looks like his offers validate that.

Our last 2 national championships were won with guys that were mobile chief! They may not be Vick or Young but they both could buy time and take off when needed.

So he can't improve from when he was in HS? Just because JJ never improved, why do you just assume Randall won't improve?

JJ was Crowtonized.

Randall: “I have a strong arm and I’m pretty fast. I’m pretty mobile and hard to stop. I’m a dual-threat quarterback."

Les Miles wet dream.

In all honesty I hope this kid does play a role in the offense this season as long as Mett gets most of the snaps.

Someone is going to say you're playing the race card for stating the obvious.

I think we're arguing for no reason. I think we're arguing 2 aspects of the same point of view.

People are trying to associate Randall to JJ which is what you're opposing...and my point is that if Randall can't pass well, then he's not gonna play. And if he can't pass then his mobility won't be needed according to Les' "new" offensive philosophy.

Those guys will never just come out and admit it.

Look at the link to see if he can pass.

Randall was better as a HS senior than Jefferson was as a college senior simply because he is physically 100x better. He is lightyears better as a passer. He has good mechanics and the best arm on the team. He is also much faster and shiftier than JJ. The only thing JJ had on him was his height and his ability to make a pouty face after bad throws. People comparing them are ignorant dumbasses. Just watch his youtube highlights and you will see what we are talking about. No one has said we need him to win, just defending the guy from moronic LSU fans that lump him together with JJ.

Tyrod Taylor was a good comparison I think.
