With the transfer portal and with LSU being a powerhouse program, you will see fewer and fewer elite teams developing QBs because you can go out and grab a talented QB that already has experience in college. Not saying I like it, but it's the reality of college football today!

On3 had an article last year that said half of the starting QBs in FBS were transfers. I wouldn’t be surprised if the number went up this year.

4 of the last 5 WBs to win the Heisman were transfers. All 3 QB Heisman finalists this year were transfers.

This has nothing to do with LSU and everything to do with the landscape of college football as a whole. Top high school quarterbacks tend to commit early, which makes it tough because it means you have to evaluate guys when they’re like sophomores in high school.

We went through several years with Les Miles where QB’s would not come here. That’s changed now!

The West is producing really good QBs. Last 3 Heisman winners have been out of California.
