If Stanford loses, the bedlam winner goes to the title game. Computers love the big 12, hate the PAC
I think the only way Boise goes is if we lose somehow, & Boise is the only undefeated. & they'd probably play the sooners.

even if OU is the bedlam winner?
They have a loss at home to unranked Texas Tech, while Oregon only loss(if they beat Stanford) is to #1 LSU.

Boise State's only chance to make the BCS Championship game is for Stanford, Oklahoma State and Bama all to lose one of their remaining games. Even then, Boise might still get passed up by a 1-loss Oklahoma or Oregon. Boise's strength of schedule kills their national championship hopes. Just like in 2007, an undefeated Boise will make a BCS bowl but will be passed up for the championship game by a 1-loss team.

Why are people so convinced oregon will beat stanford and oklahoma will beat oklahoma state?

I don't see how a OU, even after beating current #2 OSU, can put itself back in. They're currently at #6, that ship probably has sailed.
Of course stranger things have happened. Last time OU played for the national championship they were also a 1 loss team, having lost on a neutral field to texas 45-35. (Texas fans conveniently will forget that they also lost a game that year to Tech).

It would be an outrage to not let Boise in if they were the only undefeated team
I think it's likely that it would be Bama over Boise. If the voters felt as you say, they'd have Bama ranked fifth and Boise fourth.
One thing I definitely disagree with - it would NOT be an outrage to keep Boise out. If this is true then LSU should pull out of the SEC, play Boise's schedule, and go the ship every year. Any top ten ten team would go undefeated against that pantywaist schedule. Boise! They can piss off with their Boise!

If you believe the better football team usually wins then there is your answer. (i.e. oregon is better than Stanford and Oklahoma is almost certainly better than OK ST.)

Bama or Boise St in the Super Dome for the BCSNC....Would you like steak or lobster for dinner tonight? It's a win win as far as I'm concerned. I really don't want to see Ok St. and Stanford would be entertaining but not like Boise St or the Bammers.

If the above happens, and I think it's a good chance, we'll face either Oregon, Oklahoma, or Boise State in the BCSCG. Not Alabama.
And we'll win.

There is no way we are getting Oregon....America already saw it on a more neutral field than the Super Dome...It would come close to one of the worst NC game match ups ever....Oklahoma, however, is a very real possibility if they win the Big 12 or Big 10 or whatever you want to call that conference to the left of Louisiana.

Remember, Oregon will also play in the very first Pac 12 championship game, which might give them the edge over both Oklahoma or Boise State.

I'd rather play undefeated Houston just to see the Smurfs freak the F out.

They lost, at home, to an unranked, pretty crappy at this point, texas tech. Tech lost spectacularly to Iowa State the next week at home 41-7 then pissed all over themselves in Austin last week 52-20. How on God's green earth did Tech, who can't even beat themselves at this point, beat the Almighty Oklahoma?
Oklahoma doesn't deserve to be in the National Championship. They couldn't take care of business at home and lost to a weak team.
I think OSU is going to give them a handful and come out on top and will be in New Orleans.

Oklahoma did not take Tech seriously...with the stats posted above, how could anyone...Does anyone one remember how Oklahoma lost the Big 12 in 2003 to a scrub K St. team and still got it's ticket punched to the BCSNCG....All they have to do is have an impressive win over a #2 Oklahoma St. team, win their conference, have Stanford lose to Oregon or Notre Dame and I think they have a great shot at being ranked #2 after it's all said and done....I don't like it but it is very possible despite the fluke game against the Red Raiders.

If Oklahoma wins out, I think we will probably face them for the NC. Once again, leaving the smurfs out.
