at what point does it become advantagious to fire Miles? This is a serious question. (It is a far gone conclusion this is a program in decline so no need to argue this point) The only question I have is related to the penalty for firing him. What is the tipping point? When does it become more detrimental to keep him (because of lost revenue) than to fire him? Maybe 4 years from now? If not when?

Hey, I am firmly in Coach Miles corner, but 6-6 or 7-5 next year and it is time to change

My question to you is how are you going to feel if they go 11-1 next year? Do you want to fire him then? Will he change your mind about if he's a good coach or not?

First off, I think you mean "foregone" conclusion, and the rest is just fricking stupid. Defeatist much? I wonder how some of you even get out of bed in the morning.

Say what?? If we don't get 10 wins this year, he's likely gone after a 7-5 record in 2010.

And 6-6 is just as far-fetched. Laugh at that.

really what are you going to do if LSU wins the next two games and finishes the season 9-3? you ought to go jump off a bridge if that happens

I doubt highly we go 6-6. We'll probably go 8-4, maybe 7-5 for the next couple as we see our top notch recruits slowly slip away.

Not really. Bama returns almost all of their offense. Snead and Mallet could both easily be back. AU almost has to improve from a talent point of view. Florida still returns a lot though admittedly no Tebow.

We lose our 2 best RBs, best WR, TE, LT 2nd best corner, both DTs, only pass rushing DE, 3 LBs, and our SS.

Then we could lose our second best WR, RT, another LB, and our FS.

While one can argue that the program is in decline, I think 2008 and 2009 will go down as a rebuilding years. Everyone was expecting a 10-2 or 9-3 season at best, and that very well could be what we end up with.

With a new QB and poor play from both the o-line and d-line, we shouldn't have had a legit shot at winning the West. I do not want to fall into mediocrity, but I also see that there is talent on this team that will perform well next year I believe, especially if we can get some better offensive coaches in place.

2010 is more a rebuilding year.

After last year we lost a DE, 2 CBs, an OG, a FB, and C.

Compare that to my above post.

I really did not want to argue about a program on the decline. This is obvious to anybody (I would say "far gone" Are you a very feminine man who corrects people's grammer all day? What man does this? Honestly, no man I know corrects other people's grammer. Pretty funny stuff. You made my day.) The question is when can he possibly be fired for going 3-5 or 4-4 in the SEC? There has to be a point when financially it makes no sense to keep him because LSU is losing too much money. Grammer Girl! oops Grammar Girl/Chick!

I wake up next to a woman every day. Try this sometime. Answer the question don't be a female grammer teacher.

Do you honestly believe that there is a chance for them to win 11 games next year?

Sorry but it's not happening

It's not about record.

It's about sitting through seasons and watching talent wasted and us playing down to average teams and now losing to good teams. We will lose more games next season, and we will lose more recruits on signing day.

We are middle of the pack under Les Miles and his program philosophy.

Each minute that passes makes it worse. The best time to fire him is now. Well, actually it was last year, but the best time POSSIBLE is now.
