31-0 Bama '02

Sat in the stadium with my brother and froze our balls off.

Nothing at all in the game to get even remotely excited for.

That was my coldest night in TS... It was brutal... But not as brutal as the whipping Bama put on us... Took a chick from work and was hoping for some aftergame excitement.. But talk about A frigid situation.....

That A&M game a few years ago was one of the coldest times of my life. And on top of that it was raining. 2013 I believe.

2013 vs A&M the temp at kickoff was in the low 50's, which may not have been too bad if not for 15mph winds and steady moderate rain.

I'm certainly no advocate of global warming but it does seem that back when I was in high school which would have been from 1977 to 1979, I do recall some frosty morns in October. Now , we are lucky to get a frost in December. Coldest for me was when Coach Mac was here and finishing up a season in late November. Bout 35 degrees not including chill factor.

You beat me to it. It was also lightly raining on and off which made it more miserable.

Wyoming game in mid 70's.....less than 5,000 in stands

Wyoming, 1977. My first game in Tiger Stadium (I was 6), and it was pretty cold. LSU won, 66-7, and I think we left at 59-7.

Miss. State in 1989 was pretty cold. That seems to be the coldest I remember from my college days.

That ND game in the late 1990s was cold and miserable. Windy, cloudy, and the temperature had to be in the 30s.

Most of the fans left to watch Auburn vs Georgia, as that game had actual meaning for the SEC West race.

The game Vs Troy where we had the monumental comeback had to be one of the coldest games I been to in recent memory... I stayed the whole time and even though it was FREEZING it was great to see the tigers comeback from being down 31-3 and comeback and win 40-31 after scoring 30 points in the 4th!

We got tickets on the 2nd row of the upper deck/South Endzone, that game pops out too. It wasn't that cold per say but the wind was brutal the entire first half.

Got in this conversation last night. We were discussing how the opener is always hot as balls, but then got to talking about late season colder games and realized it has been a while. I do remember heavy jackets and hot chocolate smuggled in a thermos, but for the life of me I could not tell you when. Seems like it has been a long time. What is the last really cold game you can recall taking place in Tiger Stadium? (For the tree huggers, this is not a veiled attempt to start a global warming discussion)

Nov. 15, 1997 — Notre Dame 24, No. 11 LSU 6
1997 was an odd year in the series.

The Tigers and Irish matched up twice. The two teams battled for the first time in mid-November at Tiger Stadium in front of 80,566 fans, the largest crowd in series history.
But the crowd had the wind taken out of its sails as Notre Dame scored 17 first quarter points and held LSU’s offense in check.
The Tigers punted only twice in the game but turned the ball over on downs three times, threw three interceptions and missed a field goal. Running back Kevin Faulk helped LSU avoid a shutout with a fourth quarter touchdown run, but it only made the scoreboard look better.
The Irish left Tiger Stadium with a 24-6 upset victory against LSU.

COLD DAY

LSU, ND, 1997
#11 LSU vs. ND - Baton Rouge, Tiger Stadium (full game)

LSU vs Ole Miss October 27, 2001. The wind was blowing from the north all game and even 2 heavy coats couldn't keep us comfortable. Also Eli Manning tore up LSU that day.

I agree. Or at least I think that was the right year because for some reason I think we played them two years in a row at TS. It was an 8:00 kickoff and was very cold that night by fall in Baton Rouge standards. And yes Eli is the only reason they won. Had Eli played for LSU we would have curb stomped Ole Miss.
