when we start losing 3-4 games regularly instead of being in the hunt for SEC championships and NCs on a yearly basis.....then i'll admit there's a problem.

Saturday proved again that we have EVERYTHING we need to be at Bamas level every year.....everything but game day coaching.

And don't tell me we are already at Bamas level. They are on the way to winning their third national title in 4 years.
We have won 1 NC and 2 SEC champs in Miles's 8 years here.

Bama won't be able to sustain this level either. They will get hit with injuries or miss on a critical recruit eventually.

The last 10 years of LSU football have been real good. Miles currently has one of the best staffs he's ever had at LSU. Absolutely no reason whatsoever we should even be considering making a change.

I agree with you. Coach Miles is the best LSU can do. This is as good as it gets for LSU.

I'm having major flashbacks to the 80's/90's with this statement.

Have we gone back to this outlook on LSU again?

He may have been offered but I can assure you not for what he gets paid here. Don't even try to tell me how honorable he is b/c he left Ok. St. to come to LSU. They are all about money.

That program and this one are light years apart. LSU football was put on cruise control with no money going into the program and not much of an effort to compete at a higher level.

I don't know what to tell you if you can't see the difference between then and now.

Staff turnover is another thing that could bite them.

Can you please explain to me who is complaining about the game this past week? Also what exactly is the problem with the current situation?

I'm sure you were one of the people on here last week saying LSU would get dominated and lose by 3 TDs to Bama and we absolutely DOMINATED Bama statistically in every single phase. But I'm sure you don't want to give any of that credit to Miles on execution and game plan...you only want to be pissed off at him because he called a fake field goal when our damn kicker hasn't been making his kicks anyway.

Do you really have Ok.St. job on the same level as Michigan and LSU?

Positiger or Negatiger....take you side.

Since I have questioned Les since 1/9/12 and no longer support him, I am a negatiger. I love the team and the players though, just don't like Les. I know Chavis cost us the game, but who does he answer to?

No I have Michigan being a better job than LSU for a Michigan alum.

who the hell else needs to come out and talk about these things before people accept it and start to admit there might be a problem?
AD Joe Aleva. And he (along with TAF and members of the LSU Administration) needs to step up and lay the law down on *CLM.
1. New OC search and hire starting immediately.
2. Coaching offense and defense and special teams roles to be handed over to the appropriate coordinators/coaches; HC role is strictly to be recruiting and PR. Gameday role - wear the hat, walk around, smile, clap, and pretty much step aside on any playcalling or time management.

Of course, what do I know. I'm just a fan. All I get to do is see the snafus happen, and know that it could be a lot better.

Be honest. You never have liked Miles and never will. Some of you want be satisfied until Miles' career ends like Jim Pittman's did at TCU.

Sure, there were some strange calls. But to have been down 14-3 and then take a lead late in the game vs the #1 team is just a really stupid time to be wanting to fire the coach.

this statement.
That was the keyword. I know the program overall is completely different from back then. But if fans start falling on the "LSU fans should never expect to be an Alabama" - that is the outlook I was talking about. We heard that for years all during the Stovall/Arnsparger/Archer/Hallman/Dinardo era.

Look, LSU will probably never have 14 going on 15 national titles like Bama has, and LSU is not a brand name like Notre Dame. But I'll be damned if LSU fans should just fall back on the program never being on that level. I thought that all changed in 2003, but I guess not.

The LSU fanbase has become a caustic cloud hanging over this program. The atmosphere is nothing but constant bickering, whining, "You're an idiot and I'm smarter than you" comments, etc, etc. We are in a golden age of LSU football and there is vastly more negativity spouted than positivity. As a long time fan, it is truly sad to see what has become of our fanbase.
