With that strike zone and a high chance to take game 1, I’m throwing Walker after a Peterson.

If you need a third game, you start Hilliard and go from there.

George and Moffit proved they can get the job done on the extreme back end if needed. We have more options than we think.

And I’ll jump on the no lefties is a travesty bandwagon. Jesus Christ, get Cabrera some mound time.

I would have gone Fontenot with the 2 seam zone we were afforded all game. Sure would have been nice to throw a lefty. Personally, I would have had Fontenot ready to start the 7th and Hess warming.

This is one of the things I hate most about Paul. His refusal to allow position players to pitch hurts our depth even more. Throw in all the injuries and no lefties and he still refuses to entertain the idea.

Absolutely. With the scholarship limitations being what they are, it just makes good sense to utilize guys with two way talent. You’re getting two players for one. Why the heck not do it. Unless the kid says he doesn’t want to then I’m taking advantage of that depth

Mike Martin, as old as he is, recognizes his star center fielder is also his best closer, and coaches accordingly. I don't remember how good Cabrera was as a pitcher, but if he could have played D1 as a pitcher, it is beyond disturbing PM has not had him working on the side the last 2 months given the teams lack of a left handed pitcher.

In fact, I'd put him at 1st base/DH and let him go pitch just to the lefties in the lineup and train a couple of our pitchers to handle 1st. Most of these kids were multi position stars in high school. Hell, maybe they'd have one an extra couple of midweek games tinkering around!

Well, even high school teams have left-handed pitchers. So there’s that.

Lol

Uh the point of the thread is I would have pitched the guy who wouldn’t have walked 10 batters.

You can’t be this stupid, huh?
