What's sad is not only was foley caught in a lie and not punished for it but we knew early this morning that the weather would not be bad. Games are supposed to be set 72 hours before kickoff we had more than enough time to schedule a Monday game. It's just reaffirms what we all knew this was done to help certain teams.

I don't know when it will happen, but this game has to be played. This game not being played will frick everything up.

fact is, since the game will not be played tomorrow or sunday, there is no need to rush.

They will wait to see if LSU loses another SEC game.
If they do, then the UF game does not matter.

The game should be played regardless. Football season goes by so fast and the offseason is so long, it sucks to needlessly be cheated out of a game, esp a conference game.

The issue is settled. It is done. Alleva even said """you have to respect their decision""". That is your answer.

Everyone knows this game will not be played.

The SECs stance will be, "Let it play out for as long as we can. Hopefully neither of the two teams will be in contention for the SEC Championship game, making the point of playing the game moot."

Make no mistake about it, the SEC wants UF back in the hunt. UF is the second highest grossing team in the conference. For the SEC, having a Bama vs UF SECCG is crucial for revenue generation.

Cancelling this game helped the SEC in two ways:

1) You eliminate a West foe now, which helps Bama
2) You give UF an edge in the East standings.

This is a win-win for the leadership in the SEC.

Have any of you guys emailed the SEC commisioner? I've seen what we can do as a fan base when we get riled up. See Harry T's thread lol.

This. Always seems to be the go-to answer whenever our program is involved with any decision they make

The SEC had a chance to "solve it" last Wednesday by stopping the Florida charade of time delay to get the game cancelled.

If was not important then it sure won't be in the future!

According to Scott Long the SEC Presidents are having their annual meetings today and Monday. If so, that explains why Stankey has been silent to date. My guess it that we will hear something Monday.

Florida caused this intentionally and dishonorably and was suborned by the depraved indifferent of Stankey, yet it seems that LSU and the city of Baton Rouge may have to be the sole bearers of the cost. This is wrong. The entire conference, and especially Florida should pay. IMO, the only just solution is as follows:

o SEC pays CBS whatever it takes to move the SEC CG back a week.

o Florida loses the home game. Play it at one of the bowl game locations that may be effected by delaying the bowl selection decisions.

o SEC pays the bowl selection for their added expenses

This set up could be done contingently on whether or not the game matters.

The SEC is waiting on LSU to "cry uncle" like we always do. No to Nov 19 option!!!!

The SEC office and UForfeit need to give LSU something really good to make us play this game, otherwise, not happening.

I would hope that in the future Alleva records every damn conversation he has with anyone in that SEC office!
