Martel was recruited by Ryan Day and has been in his system for two years. Fields may have interest in Ohio State but I’m not sure if that is mutual considering they have a replacement already on the team. Or if they are interested then they think Martell isn’t as good as they thought.

I like forward to the follow up thread asking if we get [insert team]'s QB when Martell inevitably transfers to a new school and their current QB leaves

Out of highschool, Fields was down to Georgia Florida St and LSU I believe. Wish we could grab him but I have a feeling A&M will buy him.

He would be a fool to sign with LSU like he was when he signed with UGA. I don’t know what these kids think but they need to learn to go where their style of play is being used at the next level. Any recruit who thinks they are going to change the offensive philosophy are crazy.

Exactly! At some point, if LSU continues to have to turn to JUCO or transfers for QB's, no top echelon QB recruits will consider LSU if they feel that they'll be consistently playing behind someone that just transferred in.
