Take it easy, Francis.
In all fairness the guy never said he was a saving grace, he just mentioned being happy.
I’m not putting too much into Burrow just yet, so I understand being against those who try to tell you they know he’s going to be the second coming of Hodson. I get it.
But you have to be excited we pulled this kid, and he’s quite talented and he’s developed under a pretty good coaching staff. Doesn’t mean he’s our starter or the savior just yet, but if you really took the time to research why he wasn’t OSU’s starter, you’ll find it has nothing to do with not being as good if not better than their other options.
Haskins fits Urban’s offensive mind set, he’s the prototype QB Urban has coached for years, going back to Tebow.
Burrow is good enough to start for OSU, that’s not a question, and plenty of Ohio State experts will back up that statement.
Try to lighten up a little, and not let the comments here, you know are outrageous, bother you so much.

Screw cautious optimism, I’m jumping head first into the deep end.
Joe Burrow is a mixture of Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Brett Favre, Dan Marino, Steve Young, Joe Montana, and Joe Namath.
He’s gonna come into Baton Rouge, Win 2 NCs and 2 Heismans and then get drafted number 1 overall in the 2020 Draft.
He’s gonna break every single season passing record at LSU and possibly the SEC.
I’m obviously joking but I am very excited to have Joe Burrow at LSU.

Show me where I called him a savior for LSU. You know damn good and well that had he opted for Cincinnati, the Rant would have gone crazy, probably you included. However, the kid decides to come to LSU and all people like you can do is rag on his lack of stats. His stats are as comparable as any other QB on the team. Give him a shot.

I don’t know about burning any houses down, but when LSU can’t beat out a Cincinnati for a needed ball player we got serious, serious problems.
We needed the guy and coach O got him. Coach O is to be congratulated and I certainly hope that Joe turns out to be the quarterback that LSU has need it for the last 3 to 4 years.
I have little doubt that he was start against Miami.

You're the idiot.
You realize the QB ahead of him was a veteran and broke all sorts of conference records right? Almost no one would have surpassed him given his time in the program under Meyer.
Burrow was his backup last season and got hurt.. therefore another highly talented QB got to lead the comeback vs Michigan when JT went down.
It's annoying to see people like you continue to try and knock him for being a backup to a guy that broke all these records.
Ohio St is typically 3 QBs strong any ways. You telling me you wouldn't have wanted any of their top 3 Qbs over the last few seasons? It's great for depth alone, but Burrow is actually the guy most Buckeye fans wanted to start. There's actually been polls to show this..
Aside from fans, several former players are going to bat for Burrow as well. That speaks volumes to his character as a leader.
Also, why did Alabama want Coker if he couldn't see the field at FSU? He was definitely awful his first year with Bama, but he won a Championship his second season. That's the beauty of getting a transfer who has at least 2 years eligibility.
