1959?
If you want to talk single year, I would go with 1959 as well. That year may never be topped...11-0 and 282 pts scored with 53 allowed!!

I don't think we have an idiotic QB. It is the same QB that helped LSU put up 38 pts against GA TECH. However, it is not the same O-line. I feel when the O-line starts to jell as a unit the offense will show marked improvement. It had better be soon or we might be looking at 4 more losses.

Two weeks after every national championship that we've won....

people calling radio shows and posting here do not represent the fan base. by nature these activities bring out the negative types.

The seeds of bitterness were sown when Sabin went to Bama because it was like we lost our fist girlfriend to our best friend (after moving away and coming back) and have a direct point of reference if we fall to appear to fall below said best friend. This combined with winning it all leaves us no where to go but down and unsatisfied with anything but greatness and near perfection. Any performance below that par leads to negativity.

eah, you would think.
Saban called it Catastrophe Syndrome.
I call it the Douchebag Effect.

When did we become a negative fanbase?

Well, it brings out vocal types and it appears a larger percentage of us vocal ones are "negative types". imo
This is the way of the world these days and it's just not sports. News sells and bad news/conflict sells best.
