Y’all do realize that he’s not conditioned to go a complete game, right. They likely hope he can go long in relief

Yeah which means he is probably coming in. I would guess they wanted Hellmers to get us to whoever is closing. Therefore he wouldn’t come in so early.

Yeah but you bring him in first and let him go as long as he can then bring in other guys. Doing it backwards limits the amount of innings Hellmers can pitch if he's got good stuff.

Floyd has looked better recently. When he is on he is good. It’s easy to say someone else should have come in after a pitcher struggles.

Hellmers has been lit up his last couple outings; and had horrible appearances. He pitched horrible against friggen Northwestern and for some reason though all our fans think he is the solution for tonight or some miracle savior.
