The o line guy that decomited , says at the end of his post, or whatever he was using to send out the message , respect my decision. He says it as a statement. No please or anything rubbed me the wrong way.

How bout he respects hisself and the decision to commit to something.. Respect, give me a break

First off, almost every recruit says this

Second, that dude doesn’t give a frick about your feelings and shouldn’t. He’s making a decision that impacts his life and is asking the twitter mob not jump him because grown adults like you get butt hurt and say nasty shite to him on Twitter.

Why on earth would he say please? The fact that, of all things, that he didn't say please rubbed you the wrong way makes you sound like someone who doesn't deserve his respect anyway.

Everyone wants to blame the kids to ignore the fact that O & Meatball aren’t great at recruiting a position they are supposed to specialize in.

to be fair though (and i'm speaking generally, not about this specific kid) if you become an attention whore, you do deserve blow back

this is like the girls who post THOTy pics for attention they crave...and then get made when thirsty guys make obnoxious comments

Bc it’s what 18 year old kids do since adults slobber over them like they’re bringing in a cure for cancer

We’ve created a bunch of entitled kids who think we owe them something bc they’re good at high school sports.

This part isn't obnoxious.

This is.

For him to assume that he's important enough to get mobbed on twitter. He's a kid that is drawing interest from coaches because of his athletic ability, just like 1000s of other kids are. Yet, they still think their shite doesn't stink.

This too. We're kind of at fault.

Yes these high school kids need to ask me NICELY and RESPECTFULLY to respect their important personal life decisions. Then and ONLY then will I consider respecting their decision. These selfish millennials just think respect is GIVEN! Pathetic

Then regale us with tales of the elite DL recruits O and Meatball have signed from the 2017 class on.

it's not that

kids in similar positions to the one being referenced in OP project LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME attention whoring behavior and then when they do something that will cause reactions, they want people to stop "looking at them". it's bullshite and hypocritical

i don't care if they're 17/18 because they are fully enjoying the attention whoring (so they have to live with ALL the effects of those choices)

I’m guessing you are precisely the type of person these “respect my decision” messages are intended for

It’s just something they say because they feel they it sounds good. No kid today knows what respect it. They don’t respect themselves but want others to “hand” it to them. That age group it mostly made up of morons. The exceptions are few and far in between.

If you jump on social media for the attention you need to be able to take the negative too. Are you white knighting for these kids who are begging for attention? Stay off Twitter if you can’t take the bad

Maybe instead of ripping on 16-17 year olds (literal kids) we should examine the root cause of this purported appetite for attention - the litany of pot-bellied middle-aged men who hang on their every word and fawn over them when they express interest in their preferred football program, only to bash the shite out of them if they look elsewhere. Look no further than this thread. The lack of self awareness would be sad if it wasn’t so funny to me.

I agree. I’m not wasting my time reading their tweets or ripping them. However, the OP said these twats saying shite like “respect my decision” especially after they already made a decision and told us about it then change their mind makes it hard to respect it So I agree there may be a recruiting issue also.
