Are you sure you are watching the right games? Etling steps into nearly all of his throws and his "mechanics" are fine.

People said this same shite about Brady. I don't think Etling is the next Brady, but I know for a fact LSU fans called Flynn a mediocre Quarterback and he gets paid NFL money.

LSU fans expect EVERY QB to be Ben Roethlisberger when passing and Vince Young when running, and even then the back up QB is way better.

I am in total agreement that Etling has a very good year, and is poised to come back and have a tremendous senior season. His only bad game was Bama where he missed about 4 third down passes that could have kept the chain moving and looked intimidated. He did, however, have 1,000 pounds of Bama beef crawling up his arse all night.
