Yea yea yea but he is still the best QB we've had since Mett and you know it.
When did i say he wasnt?
His footwork in the pocket alone makes him better than Harris and Jennings.

i dont its accuracy. I think he knows his arm strength isnt great so he throws deep way too early sometimes and the wr cant get to it. Or he throws it too late and its underthrown. I see his inaccuracyon deep passes as a timing thing but thats just sitting on the couch. You most definitely could be right

Did you just call Cam Cameron an idiot when it comes to qb coaching?
While at LSU? Yes. May have been good in NFL, but couldn't translate to college. Ability to evaluate high school talent for college was also apparently suspect. I know the guy knows his stuff, but if you can't teach it, you're worthless. He needs to go back to the NFL.

For the record, Etling, despite his limitations, was our best option this year and will be next year until proven otherwise. He plays hard and plays smart. I think people mostly just recognize he has limitations and struggled against better defenses (like most QBs do). People that automatically assume Scott or someone else started are almost certainly talking out of their arse, as there's really nothing to go off of.
I'm sorry for triggering you, Lee. Will you forgive me?

My, My, such a childish remark.
Says the guy claiming people are reverse-racist and don't want Etling to start as a consequence. Like... holy shite.

You're melting so hard you can't even form coherent thoughts... Sad. Again, I apologize for not giving you a trigger warning. Let's just stay on topic here...

There are a ton of racists on this site when it comes to the QB position...think envy and jealousy!

Go check out Mett's qbing in 2012 and then in 2013. Outside of Mett he had anthony jennings and brandon harris.
I truly believe miles reluctance to use the middle of the field severely limited what Cam was allowed to fo.

Tom Brady could be the qb and our fans would want to put the back up in. Les did this to the fans. He ruined the qb position during his tenure at LSU. For the latter part of his tenure here, the QBs were so bad, we always wanted to see what the next guy could do cause the starter never could get it done. In reality though, it was Miles' fault.

Nah, it was like that before Les got here.

The truth of the matter is that regardless of what you have sitting in the backfield, until you have a better line on both sides of the ball that is more consistent and has decent depth behind it, we are not going to be winning much of anything in terms of titles. It's going to take a couple of damned good recruiting classes and some talent development to get there. For next year, 10-2 or 9-3 and a good bowl is probably realistic.
For those thinking about the times we beat Alabama, keep in mind that the Alabama team has been a work in progress and will continue to be a work in progress as long as Saban is there. He is the ultimate Continuous Quality Improvement guy when it comes to football at the college level. The Alabama's we beat are not the Alabama's we have been losing to as of late. The Alabama program is in a constant state of evolution and it's upward. LSU has been sitting on its laurels. Miles simply did not have the mentality of Saban. From the very night that Saban lost to LSU 9-6 he and his staff retreated and began planning for the rematch that they had a fairly good intuition was going to happen. When it came down to brains and preparation, Saban was damned bound and determined that he was going to beat Miles from that point on. Needless to say 1-9-12 was the point that Alabama's evolution was demonstrated and LSU's demise was also demonstrated.
We can come back, but it is not going to be an overnight thing, and it's not going to happen at the hands of a flashy QB that some think should be like fantasy football.
You have an entire team to rebuild. We made some steps in the right direction by firing Miles after it was evident that after he indicated there would be some change, there wasn't. Coach "O" has not done that bad of a job, given the circumstances. Same for Steve E. However, putting in his own staff, having his own recruits, and putting in his own system in the off season are the next steps in this journey back. He's going to need a couple of years. Even Saban didn't hit a home run his first two seasons at LSU or Alabama.
