I've been bringing my big assed Nikon to all the games for years, was searched heavily at the UGA and gump game and never a problem getting my camera inside Tiger Stadium.

You will be ok, as long as it is not a video camera

I have brought my camera (still not video) to every game this year. They never even looked at it.

I walk in the gate with my camera bag every game. It has my digital slr and my video camera. I never have any problem. I've stood on the field for pregame and videoed pregame and nobody has ever said anything.

Those jerks wouldn't let me bring in my binocular bag. It is half the size of my wife's purse. Just because it has a sling strap they insisted it was a back pack. I have brought into every game for the last few years. Why now?
I got in the game and women had backpacks on all over the place.

Take the strap off and put it in the bottom of the binocular pouch. Then carry it like a football to the security, let them look in it and they will see it is neither a backpack, nor contraband.
