I was 16 years old and was fortunate enough to attend the LSU-USC 1979 game with my Dad, Uncle, and cousins. Loudest by far imo. As a freshman at LSU..the LSU-FSU game that determined the Orange bowl participant was pretty freaking loud also. Earthquake game, 97 Florida, 2007 UF games way up there

For us old timers...1979 USC and nothing else is even close. A USC player asked afterwards if LSU fans "had amplifiers in their voices."
How ironic that then USC coach John Robinson is now on LSU's sidelines.

Loudest sustained crowd noise was actually Florida 2009. I don't believe we scored a TD that came, so just never got to experience a full blown eruption from the crowd. I can remember just waiting for it to happen...for the stadium to just burst at the seams, and it never came. Very frustrating game.
I remember and interview by Urban Meyer and him saying he couldn't believe how loud it was, and he took his headphones off at one point to experience it...or something like that
That was the loudest game I've ever been to. When UF came out before the game and were stomping on the eye it was crazy. Then JJ came out and played like shite.
The place was going to explode if the offense could have pissed a drop. That might have been the Russell Shepard Zero touches game IIRC

In games I've been at:
UGA 2003 Skylar Green TD
Auburn 2007 TD to Byrd
2008 Alabama end of regulation RJF blocked field goal
There have been some other loud moments in games I've been to but those stand out.

I have to list more than one:
LSU vs Auburn 2005 (Baton Rouge) . AU, in a losing effort late in OT versus LSU. This after dominating for 3 quarters missed a OT 3 point'r giving LSU the win. At that moment it sailed wide left that stadium blew my head off its neck.
LSU vs UGA 2003 . The last play of the second quarter LSU scored a TD to take a 7-3 lead into halftime earning themselves the momentum in a tight game. S. Carey following his blocks on a clutch run to score. Louder than a jet engine full throttle was that play.

Definitely UF in 2007. Was having physical pain in my ears. #2 might be UF in '97.

V-tech '07. Outside of that night, I've never seen a team have to call back-to-back TO's because of crowd noise. Tiger Stadium was ROCKING. It was glorious.
