All but destroyed his knee in fall camp his true freshman year and never fully recovered. it was ashame, because everyone that was watching the three freshman that year, Hill, Davis and Bowe, was saying that Hill was clearly the best of the three.

Transferred out when it became clear he'd not see the field in any meaningful way at LSU after the injury.

Interesting story with Hill, after he recovered he thought he performed better in practice then Bowe, Davis, and Doucet and thought he should earn more playing time. Miles disagreed.

Somewhat interesting because we know now that Miles has a tendency to bench the better player. But if he couldn't hang at South Florida, I doubt he could have done much here. The injury was unfortunate, because you are right, he was supposed to be best WR that we signed out of that class.

It was not up to Les Miles to keep him. It was Saban's.
