i think he is 1000 yrd back, but because the way our system he will get around 800 yrd for sure. but i bet he will come up big in some important games

I don't think Murphy will be much of a factor this year.

I kept seeing Murphy get tackled like a rag doll in the 2nd tier when he did get thru the line. too small for RB. Needs to be in the slot or in complex 4 WR patterns.

I would like to see him get time in the slot with RS.

RM
400 yards running 2 TDs
250 receiving. 2 TDs

RS
600 receiving. 6 TDs
400 running 4 TDs

he has those stats backing up charles scott and keiland williams. he is going to get more yrds than that. Also I agree about the rag doll thing but thats do more to him running up right wich i hope he change. but i dont agree puting him out at WR, i think we have enough receivers we just need the line to give our qb time to make better throws

Personally I would put him over the bus. That said, Bettis was a completly different style running back and it's kinda hard to compare him and Ricky Murphy. The biggest common ground they share, other than being black running backs, is that both are future NFL HOFers

If he wins the starting job and stays injury free, he can go for 1,000. But Ridley and Ford will get their share of touches so I say the over/under is at 750

coming off blown knees and michael ford ready to bust out, the murph is not much of a factor. also, the presence of ridley and emergence of ware over the fall will spell demise for his carries. ford is the shite and is ready to roll. new beef on the o line will see us run the ball effectively in '10.

I think he will have a marginal season. RM isn't a big back at all and hes coming off a major injury. His strength has been speed/quickness and I'll bet hes lost a step from the injury. I see Ridley/Ford making a bigger impact than him because they fit the system better with the Miles back. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ware get in there somewhere too.

I hope he proves me wrong.

I think they just go with the hot hand. Any of the backs will have a chance to shine, any given game (injuries aside).

u keep bringing up how he is a spring game back, other than ridley and murphy everyone else has had nuthing but spring game experience so until i see it on the field im not jumping off of murphys bandwagon. f u look at murph stts he averaged ova 5 yrds carry. i think its gonna be split between murph and ridley with RS getting his few carris a game. but like others have said,it dosnt matter who is back there if our line doesnt block

nobody will run well with 7-8 men in the box...

JJ has to prove he can move the chains consistently for our RB's to do well...

Im thinking if JJ is half arse Ford will blow it up...look for shep to get involved too, Lesly took to much heat last year for screwing that kid over...
