Not allow Les the privilege of determining who plays QB. He has a Offensive coordinator and a QB coach, let them earn thiersalary.

A deep threat. LSU was pretty much unstoppable with Rueben Randle as the deep threat, defenses loaded the box and we hit Randle on single coverage. Things went to shite when we started a QB who couldn't pass very well.

But this offense needs a deep threat like Rueben Randle. No deep threat and this offense will fail.

Defensively, I think we're fine, but we could use better pass rush from the LB position, kinda nitpicking though considering how great the defense has been.

I think we should all agree QB play needs to improve. Lee was efficient, but not

against bama. just sayin.

quote:

JJ was

efficient against bama until 1-9-12. just sayin again.

Regardless, they were majorly exposed in the MNC for being poor in coverage.

the vast majority of lbs consistantly get beat in pass coverage especially on crossing patterns and wheel routes.

quote:

Our WRs, even Randle at times, were inconsistent throughout the year. Shep needs to emerge and realize his potential. OBJ needs to keep progressing. Landry needs to own the slot. Boone needs to show off his talent. Wright needs to become a big-bodied RZ threat.

this.

quote:

Hurst seemed to take a stepback in 2011, with a particularly awful game against Bama. Open that position up to competition. Give La'El Collins a chance to unseat him. Competition breeds improvement.

our oline play obviosly wore down as the season progressed. the neccessity of having to rely on the power run game took its toll. I'm very sure that La'El will get every oportunity to reach his immense promise.

quote:

I do think Mettenberger will allow us to open the passing game up in ways we couldn't with Lee/JJ's various weaknesses. He's got a better arm than either.

this...but, as you said, the the big 'if' is "assuming he progresses" and there is no reason to think he won't. Krags has had a full season + to work with him and that, IMHO, is the key.

I didn't mention it, but what are you referring to specifically? There's a lot of parts of coaching.

add RB blocking to your list. might seem insignificant, but there were a number of instances where the RBs either didn't know who to block, or did and didn't get the block anyway.

Loston will probably move to Linebacker.

That's a good point. Must do better picking up the blitz.

nah, we got the safety-sized LB in Tahj, and we're thin on experienced safeties. Poppa stays put.

We improved already after the Bama game because Jefferson is gone. Mettenberger will throw it

well considering we were damn near unstoppable in 11, the LBS.

if the lbs can take a step forward, we won't be beat.

the only competition is bama and they lose too much. plus the playcalling wasn't as bad as i originally thought. an efficient qb would've changed that game a lot. we'll see if we have one on the roster this year.
