My wife is only a fan because I am and she is still learning her football. Even she said, "I think those referees are all from Mississippi."

That's interesting, because I've never seen a game that was worked perfectly. There's still always hope though.

In fact, the post of mine you are talking about here pretty much makes my point for me.

It's called good coaching......

That's part of it, along with selective vision.

If you have video still, watch Lonergan and Hebert (T-Bob especially) working on Powe - good stuff there, stuff that would make LSU fans furious if the teams were reversed, but since a good deal of it occurred during double teams, you aren't going to see a flag for it anyhow.

I saw one chop block for sure. But Ole Miss held EVERY play.

I was at the stadium and it looked to me that the play clock had run out before Ole Miss got off one of their touchdown plays...did anyone else see that?

I saw it, as did several of my buds who were watching the game on TV. I got probably 20 text messages after this.

It was on Mesoli's long TD run. It was a solid 2 seconds.

Frickin SEC.

They chopped him? Do you remember about when it was? I'd like to go back and look for it.

Did anybody notice with 44 seconds left in the game we were going for 2 and to run off some time. The clock NEVER started. I counted 5 seconds. That gave Ole Miss an extra Hail Mary. Pathetic.

The clock does not run on extra point plays.

Nothing SEC refs do surprises me any more.

Yep, best football conference in the country with some God awful officials. The sad part is the conference office is content with poor calls.

I'm just grateful LSU never holds.
it's naive to think that both teams always hold equally in quantity and in relevance to the point of attack.

what bothers me is that holding at the point of attack is so much more obvious and the refs really shouldn't miss it. holding on the interior for a play elsewhere is much easier for a ref to miss.

It's also naive to think that LSU never gets away with holds - but I know a lot of people who are of that opinion. The oppoenents hold every play and they have never once seen LSU hold, even when they get caught.

it wasn't quite 2 seconds.. lmao. it was half a second, maybe. over the tv it was definitely a delay of game and those clocks are usually sync'd pretty well

I based my "2 seconds" on the fact that I had enough time to point it out to a fellow fan before the ball was snapped....

The amount of time it took me to point and say "that's delay of game"...then the snap...was at least two seconds.

I think it was late in the game. Ford on one of his runs toward the Ole Miss bench. Not sure exactly when. I'll watch it again tonight and let you know.
