2007 was the most emotionally draining season for me. After that season, I vowed to never have such an emotional investment in the games anymore. My family is very happy with that decision.

I don't know how many remote controls I broke in '07 by throwing them down or against the wall. My wife made start holding those little squishy balls so I wouldn't break anything when I threw it. Let's just say all my neighbors on my street knew when LSU was playing. I don't know if my heart could take much more of that season but in the end '07 turned out a hapy ending for me and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

1998 and it's not even close for me. A highly ranked team in pre-season coming off a year in which they defeated the #1 team in America and blasted Notre Dame in the Indy bowl. A Heisman hopeful in Kevin Faulk. No less than two dozen members of that team made it to NFL camps and many of them stuck. Heck quite a few still in the league today. A team that averaged nearly 390 yards and over 30 points per game yet due to key injuries and the inept defensive play-calling of Lou Tepper saw their bowl dreams end in a 4-game slide to end the season. The team finished 4-7 with Faulk and Tyler nursing injuries on the bench late in the Arky game. A sad finish for two great Tigers. Six of the seven losses were games that the Tigers led or tied deep in the fourth quarter. Very, very hard to take, given the overall talent level and having the iconic Faulk giving his all each week. These last two seasons don't come close to matching the frustration of '98 for me.
