can't remember the name of the Biker Bar
Magoo's. Thirty-five cent Pabst Blue Ribbon beer, no i.d. checks, and the Charlie Pappy Band playing out back.

'fess up. How long did you sport a Johnny Reznik "do" on your head. Did it take a lot of product?

The 70s'. LSU and A&M, Alabama and the BEAR, USC, Notre Dame, Charlie Mac and Daddy Dale. The football team was supported in a crazy way. The stadium was alive. Not always the best teams but teams that would let the other team know that they had been in a game. Fans weren't spoiled.

Nobody left at halftime. Few games moved to afternoon for TV. TS always loud and crazy and not full of Corporate "See and be seen" Poons. Die-Hards not priced out yet. Field always looked great. GBFTL songs not edited by Athletic Dept. No cell phones, therefore nobody with those damn things in their face the entire game.

however the late '70's appear to have been pretty fun:
Understatement of the year ! You can't begin to understand if you weren't there.
