This. A&M (but mostly their corps) have some unique traditions that seem a little weird to everyone else, including me (the ring obsession, their whooping by classes, i.e., freshman, soph, etc.) All in all, they're a fun, passionate, down-to-earth and nice group of people and a lot more similar to our fans than a lot of us would like to admit. You want a snobby, dbag fanbase? Head north to UT.

I've met a lot of A&M alum over the years and never disliked any of them. We used to have a great rivalry and I look forward to it being sparked up again.

First off Im looking forward to seeing LSU back at Kyle Field...should be alot of fun.

I always enjoy going to Baton Rouge and eating at the places the locals recommend. If looking for somewhere to eat, I would like to recommend Harold's Hot Dogs. Great local owned place that serves hot dogs you cant get anywhere else in town..southwest Dog, Carolina Dog and Chicago Dogs. We get a pack of 50 for our tailgate. Place is very close to the stadium at the Corner of Wellborn and Southwest Parkway. Safe travels Tigers

1981..I was fish, had LOTS of my SMU buds there..VERY embarassing. Greg Hood was his name and yes he got kicked out of school/ corps etc. Heard he was able to come back a year or so later to finish up and graduate.

Madhatters -- 80s bar with a back porch and tall beers on Northgate

LSU needs to take this bar over. Will bring us many trick plays and 4th down conversions

Its a fun bar. They make the "Adios Mother fricker" drink that will make you forget what year it is.

hip hop grinding as mentioned in the write up...

If you want country dancing go to Hurricane Harrys.... Gatsby's, Daisy Dukes and some of the others on Northgate are Hip Hop/Top 40 type stuff.

Seriously, we're talking about a Military school tradition here. You can't see this as a really funny way to haze underclassmen?

Daisy Duke's plays country, but it's about 50-50 two-stepping music to top 40. I don't particularly like the place but it's dark and there is a TON of quality tail in there.
