A better question is if USC had to play Auburn, Florida and Georgia in a span of 5 weeks, would it win every game?
Sorry, didn't see Scoop mention this before posting......

And an even better question is if LSU would have opened up on the road at Virginia (basically, a rent-a-win of a BCS conference) and then played an Ohio State team at home that is missing 75% of the offensive gameplan (Wells)...would the rest of the country be in total awe of how "dominant" LSU is?

If USC played our sec schedule they lose at least 2 games. Auburn, Moo State, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Bama they lose at least 2. Of course we would beat them too.

Only if both of the games were played nationwide on ESPN like USCs were....so no

They will have Notre Dame ranked before they play USC. Wait and see. They need for USC to beat some ranked teams so they will start ranking some of these scabs that they play.

And the conspiracy theories continue...

The voters did seem to think this was a big win for USC. The next week Virginia beats Richmond 16-0, and then they got hammered by UCONN this past week. Using the same logic of Virginia being a good win, UCONN should have gained as many votes (AP 39, Coach's 32) in the polls as USC did, but they didn't (AP 11, Coach's 25).
While I do think USC is a very good team this year, it always amazes me how the national attention so quickly jumps to them being "the best team ever" kind of thing after one win over a lousy BCS team. Then another win over a much overated team. It is a very large media market with no pro football team, so that may be part of the problem.

None really would...there are a couple that would be capable, but wouldn't happen the way things look now. Florida and that's about it. USC has a cake walk to the NC. They are an amazing, deep team that lost alot of talent last year and still has a ton of talent...The bad thing is now the media can go back to its collective circle jerking over how awesome SC is and I'd have to move to Russia to get coverage of something else sports wise...

Florida, LSU, Georgia

Florida and Georgia are the only ones IMO. I think if LSU had an experienced QB then we would be the 3rd SEC team that would go into a game against USC as a toss up. Auburn has no offense to matchup. Alabama doesn't have the talent. Everyone else gets blown out even at home.

LSU

...well - frankly - the SEC games looked like crap this weekend, notwithstanding 'Bama and LSU wins over nobody patsies. At this point in season - no one has a good shot at beating USC..JMHO

Stanford.......I know they're not in the SEC but I thought I might remind everyone that this team isn't a whole lot different personnel-wise from the team that lost to STANFORD last year (Disclaimer: Stanford will not be compared to Kentucky or Arkansas)

Only if they would have dominated those two teams the same way USC did.

I am so tired of this argument. They don't play in the SEC. UCLA beat UT and the PAC-1 does a good job against the mighty SEC when they play each other. UF, UGA and LSU are the only teams that might hang with USC, and LSU would have a hard time this year.

Yes and no. They are the same personnel, but not the same team. One year of experience is HUGE. Don't you wish Lee, Hatch, and Jefferson had a year of experience? This team looks different. They look confident, they look determined, and it doesn't look like anyone will beat them. I hope they look past someone, but I'd be surprised.
