If you take away from this that 2016 was THE YEAR and we blew it, you would be correct.
It's going to really sting when a few of these guys go to the league and promptly start tearing it up. Several day one NFL starters on that list. I think this team will salvage this season and go to a nice bowl game. But in years to come this is the team people will look back on and think about what could've been.

That should be the prevalent thought NOW. That is why we have an interim HC.
We have been Next Year U for TOO LONG.
2016 was THE year. 18 returning starters (before losing Lac), including a Heisman favorite.
