You would of got a warning and let go if you were nice to the cop. Or, he would of gave you a small ticket and to appear in court that once you show the clerk at the window that you fixed the problem, it would of been dismissed.
Yeah, you probably right.
Tickets are a LOT more expensive in Oregon than they were in Louisiana. And simply showing up to court rarely gets it reduced to a non moving violation like they usually did for me in Baton Rouge just to get you the hell off the docket.

From what I remember from my experiences if you think that Harris' cousin was the only one smoking the herb you are f'ing retarded.
Harris admitted to smoking weed but said it had been hours ago.
I lied to the cop when I told him I finished drinking "an hour or two ago" but like Harris I passed the field sobriety test so it was a moot point.
So whether Harris finished toking up right before he got pulled over or a few hours before, he passed the test.

Is it still against NCAA regs to be using dope or did they change that for Oregon players? Just asking.

That's a very good question.
Unfortunately, the NCAA is too busy processing the entire Miami athletic department so it may be a while before we get an answer on that query.

hey c on z, I always wanted to ask you this. Do you raise those little turtles such as you have in your profile pic?

Wow totally over looked that part in the article.
I think it's a big mistake on Kelly's part to say he's not concerned whatsoever about DT. I mean as a head coach how are you not concerned about the decision making of your starting qb. It's his third time being in a situation like this. Kelly saying he's not concerned to the media I think just puts out a bad perception of the program. With the Lyles mess still around it's just bad pr work.

118 mph on a suspended license with the smell of weed in the car, yet he gets let got with nothing more than a ticket. I know you claim that 118 is no big deal up there, but the suspended license and weed is what ticks me off.
When I was at Oregon a guy in my dorm had a comparable experience to this. At about 3 AM he was driving 75 through downtown Eugene (maybe a 30 zone) with 3 other guys. The probability that someone in this car was high approached 100%. As it turns out this guy wasn't paying attention and his licensed expired a couple of weeks before.
All the cop did was check to see if one of the other people had a valid license and put him in the drivers seat, give the original driver a big ticket and they were on their way.

I guess the Oregon highway patrol has all the state funding it needs. Here in Louisiana, I'm pretty sure you're leaving in handcuffs if you drive on a suspended license.
Posted on 8/17/11 at 7:00 am to RealityTiger
Driving under suspended license is not auto arrest. Been pull over in BR as well as Gulf Shores with suspended license and was released with a ticket. But I wasn't smoking pot or speeding.
As far as drinking a few beers and getting pulled over. That's legal. There's this thing called the "legal limit" if you haven't heard. If you're under .08 you're legally alright to drive. But just having 1 joint is not legal, even in Eugene as you said.

Also, it's not easy to get a ticket reduced in Oregon as you say, but if you just don't show up for court everything will eventually be dismissed? If this is true this whole traffic stop makes sense. Your police and judicial system are f'ing retarded.

Well after reading the post of the Oregon fans I can see why. None of them seem to be concerned and think a slap of the wrist is warranted in this case. If the Oregon community doesn't give a frick why should we.
Maybe the OSP is sponsored by Nike

Sheppard was living in a house of an employee
He was co-habilitating in an apartment with his girlfriend, who happened to be a:
STUDENT employee. Not even close to the same thing. The ONLY thing he's being investigated for is the fact that he was getting a stipend for 100% rent but only paying 50% of the rent so he could pocket some of the money.
Honestly, it's really a product of being niave... nothing like being busted speeding and smoking pot and you should be ashamed of yourself for being so biased.
A student employee is someone who gets paid 7 to 10$ an hour and not able to work more than 25 hours per week. Hardly comparable to a real employee and the NCAA isn't even looking at this.

Finally a post that makes sense.
I have seen you repeatedely defend DT by saying he was just a passenger blah blah blah. How can you defend someone you don't know? How can you say with any certainty he wasn't smoking weed? It is much more likely that he was smoking weed than wasn't. Birds of a feather flock together.
Anyway I hope he plays against LSU b/c I don't want yall to have excuses when we win.

If a cop thinks you are telling the truth and if they ask you if they can search and the people say yes-search anywhere all day long anywhere you want, and if the peoples attitude is good with the cop not giving him a hard time- not searching is actually very common.
I have never ever heard of an incedent where a cop detected the smell of MJ pouring out of a car after stopping the vehicle for a major moving violation (118+mph)......and then simply accepting the word of the motorist insted of doing his due deligence. NEVER. I don't care how polite you are. You can not in all seriousness expect us to believe that is the norm.

Chip Kelly is in serious denial mode. Bring on the distractions for the Ducks while Miles has our Tigers tucked away from everything getting ready.

My first reaction is "I don't believe this cr@p", but then I think about the NCAA and the law handling football players over the last decade...and then I say, "yeah, what else would you expect?"
I would like to see someone else get pulled over in a similar situation, get slammed by the law, and then show this video to the judge on their court date... Of course, see previous comments...

How quickly have we forgotten that they were in the car of an Oregon employee! (or atleast one that was rented in an Oregon employees name!)
