I agree with mbt, He's just not what LSU needs. To win the NC year in and year out the team needs to be meaner and nastier. Thats not Miles nature.
the days of florida state running over everyone, bear bryant hogging the talent, nebraska in the glory days are all but gone.
parity is here to stay. and if any of you tards think lsu can get a coach to win a nc every five years, you need to go to rehab.
got news for you, there is ALOT of other teams that have a say in who wants a nc. Tenn, arky, auburn, bama, florida, are all doing everything they can to get one.

Define more success? You can not on the one hand argue Saban/Meyer are great coaches and on the other argue LSU should beat them every year. Miles is 2-3 against Florida and 3-2 against Alabama. We did lose to both 2 years in a row, over that span they have combined for 2 losses excluding the game against each other, which naturally some one had to lose.

I don't expect another NC and that is not what I am thinking every year. I just like our teams to be competitive and yes, I got used to being a regular visitor to Atlanta. That is my ultimate goal each year. WIn the west and see if we can win the SEC. Go to a NYD or BCS bowl.

Miles biggest problem is he came after saban.
could he have rebuilt lsu?? who knows. Lsu made saban as much as saban made lsu.
I think we should play for the sec every year also. But that is not entirely realistic. Fans at auburn, arkansas, and alabama think the same.
can't have it every year. You need breaks inspite of good coaching.

Saban just barely beat Tenn. They had to block two field goals to do it, if you want to call those blocks.
I don't know who you people want as a coach or expect from a coach. When Saban was here there were tons of people wanted him gone. You don't want to go through all the bad games he had. You don't want to go through the bad games his last season here, which by the way consisted of HIS players. I am not bashing Saban. I think he a great coach, but you can't bash Miles and forget faults of other coaches.
So give us your list of candidates.

Yes, Saban lost to UAB. That was his first year. He won't lose that game a year later.

they have the top offense in the nfl, but it's getting harder to win the way they have.
once you have it, everybody wants it. and it gets harder to keep it.
lets see how well bama does agaist state this weekend. Can't wait.

oklahoma has lost 3 in the big 12 because of qb issues.
cut miles some slack. JJ will be much better next year and will be more then capable of driving the ball down miss stat's throat. He has just enough inexpierience to keep teams in it.

Most would consider Alabama way more talented than Tn this year, but they needed to pull a miracle out their arse to win.
