How many times has he gotten hit hard and stood right back up ready to play the next down. JD5 is a true LSU soldier through and through.

just seems like a very likeable guy always smiling and doesn't get to high or low on emotions during a game.

His attitude also shines, I’ve never once saw him not smile these past 2 years

The balls he showed on that 99-yard TD drive with 1 minute remaining vs FSU in New Orleans.

A perfect example of a dual-threat.

I couldn't understand last season how he couldn't see the recievers open down field, but to his credit he's improved greatly in that area. His smile and attitude had me from first sight. He has a godly glow to him. He's a good soul. How could you not love and respect JD5?

I like the fact that whenever he comes off the field after throwing an amazing TD pass, it's Nussmeier who is always right there to congratulate him. It seems there is nothing but friendship and good sportsmanship between the two.

Just comes across as a cool mofo and there was never a moment too big for him. Even at ole miss with the game on the line he threw a dart into the end zone that was catchable. Kid just makes plays, over and over.

He is one tough MFr!

Fragile he ain't!

Loved this kids toughness last year even though at times I hated he ran instead of throwing.

He is now ELITE!
