First off the loss at Ole Miss was a huge huge blow. I believe If LSU had won that game we'd be in all the bubble talk on all the websites. But whats done is done.

To make the tournament:
Beat Tenn and Auburn this week.
If that happens I believe we finish 5th in conference. That would match us up against South Carolina in the 1st round we win that we play the 4th seed Friday which I believe will be Bama who has a very nice RPI and is a tournament team. If we can win that game I think that would put us firmly in the mix. The next game would be against Kentucky. I just dont see anyway we beat kentucky theyve only loss one game at the buzzer @ Indiana. But playing them would boost our SOS and is a game that can only help LSU. Depending on how other bubble teams fare these next 2 weeks and hope that the chalk wins the conference tourneys, I can see LSU being one of the last teams IN!

LSU will need to keep the UK game very close to have a chance. If we even get that far

Asking this team to win all games up to UK is wishful thinking, IMO.

prediction:

one win in the NIT, a home game,

followed by a road loss in the NIT.

WHY?

losing to UK is not going to move LSU ahead of the other bubble teams that advance to their conference finals only to lose to a ranked team. some bubble teams are going to IMPRESS.

Ya I agree that we can't afford for bubble teams to have impressive showings. We need them to bomb big time. The picture will get a little clearer every day. But one things for sure LSU needs to win 4 games and get to the semi's to have a chance

We have to make the SEC finals. I don't see any other way we get in unless the other bubble teams are in total collapse. I agree with otto on an NIT invite with a single win.

I disagree. But let's just wait and see where we stand after this week along with all the other bubble teams going into the major conference tourneys next week.

Are we still doing this? Seriously? It's not happening. Watching LSU basketball this season has been revolting. They play sloppy, can't hit free throws, and at times look like a junior high team. This is not an NCAA tournament team but some of you can't accept this.

Hopefully, we are NIT bound. There is no guarantee we will make that tournament. NCAA is out--RPI too low, no way we can win SEC tourney, etc. BUT, if we play like we did against Ole Miss last saturday, we dont win another game, and we are waiting for next year.

I assume you are talking about the NIT, cause LSU is beyond an afterthought for the NCAA tourney. I believe they have a good shot to make the NIT if they can win their last 2 reg season games. As far as the sec tourney, They can beat USCe. As far as Bama, it depends on who Bama decides to play. If it's their first string, LSU loses. If it's the team they beat in BR, it will ba another close one. If they happen to get past Bama and get a shot at UK, they will get pistol whipped by whoever UK decides to play, wheather it be their first or second five.

Not lose by 25-30 to mediocre teams. Oh wait . . .

Well then I guess they need to beat teams by 25-30 from here on out.

If we manage to make it to a game with UK in NOLA I feel like a palomino stallion may be on the horizon.

fruition of thousands, maybe even a million childhood dreams, could possibly be ushered in.
