Yeah - I'm not trying to Bash Miles or Crowton. But I can't help but wonder if our offense is just a set of half measures: A collection of compromises b/tw the head coach and O-coordinator.

That's exactly what I've been saying. The main problem with the offense is Miles and Crowden have two different philosophies and it makes the offense schizo.

Saban was better at evaluating offensive line tallent which I find funny because Les is an "offensive line guy

One would think he could pick a few diamonds out the rough, considering he played offensive line; or at least bring a guy along somewhat faster.

Given our offensive rank last year, I wonder if this 'compromise' is why Crowton didn't get the axe last year. Our O was worse last year than our D the year before (when Mallory & Pevito were fired). I think Les must feel some responsibility, b/c he hasn't given the full reigns to GC.

The biggest thing that stood out to me against UNC was the absolute failure to create mismatches in the secondary and with LBs.

With Randle and Toliver on the outside and Shep in the slot, we are a nightmare for defenses to match up with. But we never set a plan in motion to exploit these match ups.

I get pissed at Miles, but I fully admit he has forgotten more about football than the Rant knows (collectively).

he is a joke at $4 mil a year.
