Just stop. No team since 2005 has more wins, conf wins sec west and sec titles than LSU. I don't think of Bama as a rival but LSU is Bama's biggest roadblock. It's the reason why your bye week , every year but this one, was before LSU. Stop kidding yourself. Bama has 4 sec titles in a little under 30 years. Bama is no better than any other program.

Really? How long have you been an LSU fan?

I'm 26 years old, so I have been an LSU fan as long as I can remember. I had season tickets with my dad from about 94-04. Sorry if I'm not as old as you are and don't understand the true definition of a rivalry.

I guess that depends on how you define the term "Rivalry". I would consider the two strongest teams in the same division of the same conference to be "rivals". Is the rivalry as big as Auburn-Bama. No, I didn't say it was either. I simply said that Bama is a rival of LSU. Sorry, I don't feel like rivalries have to date back 100 years to be a true rivalry like apparenly you do.

In the past few years has the LSU/UA game been an extremely heated game with national implications on the line?

This to me would define a rivalry. When 2 teams from the same division are competing for several years in a row for the conference championship and end up meeting in a national championship, the players don't really care for each other, the fans don't really care for each other, I would consider that to be a rivalry. New rivalries are allowed to come about despite not having been one since the inception of college football.

FYI, college football has been going on way before Saban left LSU.

This comment is retarded. I never said anything about Saban. I dont give 2 shites about Nick Saban. And thanks for informing me that college football existed before 2003.

We have 2 rivalries that date back over 100+ years. Rivalries dont just pop because of a coaching change and a couple of big games.

In the past few years has the LSU/UA game been an extremely heated game with national implications on the line? Absolutely. During the 90's and 08-09 we had the samething going on with UF, so are we suppose to call them our rivals as well? That makes us have 4?

FYI, college football has been going on way before Saban left LSU.

The fact that they don't see LSU as a rival.

Right now we're by far the two best teams in the West, but it isnt always like that. Us in the early 2000's were not strong at all.

This is what you're missing about rivalries.... no matter how either team is doing throughout the year(good or bad), the rivalry game will be just as much heated and enjoyed as if the two teams were on top.

Even though UT has been horrible in the recent years, I still get extremely up for the game and enjoy every second of kicking their arse. Our UT rivalry started in 1901 with an on the field brawl between the two fanbase. Since 1950 it's tradition to smoke a cigars after beating them. These are the kind of things that make rivalries. I dont ever remember getting pumped up about beating LSU in the 90's. To you rivalries come and go, to me rivalries are always rivalries, no matter how either team is doing. Do you see the difference?

IMO rivalries dont come and go(unless the teams dont play anymore).

I will admit though, after we hired Saban we gained a lot of "new fans". These fans were not around during our down years, and cant tell you who our starting LB's are, but some of them consider LSU a rival.

I hate the way they make excuses. Every loss, they beat themselves. Then, if another team brings up a bullshite call they hypocritically proclaim that team as whiners or "full of excuses".

Ok. No problem. Wasn't sure. If you were a USC or Ohio State fan, that would be different
