Was in a walking boot after Ga southern.

Did not play against Texas.

No one appears to know.

IMO, he is absolutely critical to us beating the harder SEC teams on the schedule. Shelvin played well, but had too many snaps and got gassed. Big men like that need to rotate and stay fresh.

Are you sure he didn't play? I thought I saw 62 in there in near the end of the game.

He did not.

On LSU official stat sheet via their website he was not listed as a participant. They list a player sheet of anyone that’s steps on the field for a snap. His name is not there.

I didn’t see him once and we really could have used him. Shelvin played well but he was gassed by the third quarter.

Shelvin took up space, nothing more. He is a space taker, and maybe that was Aranda’s strategy. He looked like a liability out there, need Ika to get healthy an dominate or we are doomed against power teams like Bama

Love Shelvins play he did what he could. But playing 70 snaps at that weight is almost pointless to have him in the fourth quarter because he’ll have no gas left.
Ika gives shelvin a chance to get a breather. They both are super crucial to our success this year more than any other duo on the team I believe.

Shelvin took up double teams constantly. That is what he's supposed to do.

He rarely got pushed back.

If you watch the td that Texas scored to make it 20-14. Shackleford is on the ground with his arms wrapped around Shelvin's legs. Hard to get leverage against the qb while getting tackled yourself.

He’s a nose tackle. He is supposed to be huge and take on double teams every play to allow the defensive ends and linebackers to make plays.
