Cotton bowl? How does that work when the sugar is a playoff game. Not saying LSU will get there just curious.

It's the Peach Bowl, played on the night of Monday, January 1, 2018. The opponent will be the ACC runnerup who doesn't qualify for the playoffs.
Projected matchup: Auburn vs. Miami

AU loses to UGA and Bama and we win out we would get it. 9-3 vs 8-4 and we won head to head

I wonder, if Auburn loses to both UGA and Bama what happens

How is it auburn when they will have 4 losses (including one to us) and we will only have 3?

I feel that Auburn beats either Georgia or Alabama (if not both; they're both played @ Jordan-Hare), and even if LSU wins out, Auburn's resume would still be more impressive.
Sure, if LSU finishes 9-3 and Auburn 8-4, then the Tigers would go to the Peach!
However, I feel it in my bones that Auburn beats Georgia. They've been pretty impressive since the upset loss on Oct.14.

Yeah I feel like Auburn defeats Georgia or Bama as well

I guess this assumes both Bama and UGA make the playoffs? Have to imagine if only one gets in the other goes to the Peach.

Would the NY6 take three sec teams when you include the playoffs? Obviously after Bama and Georgia

Yes. I believe the Peach is an SEC tie this year, even if 2 SEC teams are in the playoffs

So it’s best for lsu if there are two sec teams in the playoffs. Gotcha

No IF but WHEN

Possibly. Two playoff teams from the SEC, and the Peach for the Tigers if LSU takes care of business (no mean task, considering their past history of post-Bama collapse) and if one of the 3 remaining SEC players tanks the next 3-4 weeks.
