Does the fact that he's a big, lazy dumbass come into this discussion at all?

My gut says he can start and exceed as the 49ers QB.

My break down of all the teams:

Buffalo: 3 QBs; no clear cut starter he could beat them all out with effort. Not a good fit though.

Miami: Colud be the starter today. Good leadership. Could be a good fit.

New England: Excellent fit to learn behind Tom as a BU

New York Jets: Not a good fit.

Baltimore: Not a good fit.

Cincy: Ok fit. Team discipline is always an issue.

Cleveland: Starter in waiting behind Jake could be a good fit but the Browns need more ball players.

Pittsburgh: They won't want to deal with that. They have enough issues. Not a good fit.

Houston: Not a good fit.

Indy: If Jamarcus is going to become a solid player he needs 2 to 3 years of grown (mentally not physically) and what better place.

Jacksonville: Not a good fit.

Tennessee: Not a good fit.

Denver:Not a good fit.

Kansas City: Not a good fit.

San Diego: Not a good fit.

Dallas: too much "crazy". Not a good fit.

NY GIants: Not a good fit.

Philadelphia: Not a good fit because of the fans in Philly.

Washington: I like McNabb. He has put up with a lot of shite. Could be a good mentor.

Chicago: Not a good fit.

Detriot: Not a good fit.

Green Bay: Not a good fit.

Minnesota: I'm up in the air about this one. I am leaning to no though.

Atlanta: Not a good fit.

Carolina: Not a good fit.

New Orleans: Good fit for the same reason as Indy and New England.

Tampa Bay: Not a good fit.

Arizona: Might be the best fit but would be in a real duel with Lienart. No QB leadership to guide him so you would have to rely on WR and coach leadership. WR abilty is a little less then in the past though.

Seattle: Top 2 WRs had sugery and the coach is laid back. OK fit.

San Fran: Could be an excellent fit. Crabtree, Morgan, and Ginn. 3 young recievers. Davis could be a top TE. A hard nosed coach. Could be instant success or crash and burn.

St. Louis: Not a good fit.

So my list for what would be best for him in this order would be:

1. Washington (BU)
2. San Fran (STR)
3. New Orleans (BU)
4. Indy (BU)
5. Arizona (STR/BU)
6. Miami (STR)
7. New England (BU)
8. Cleveland (BU/STR in waiting)
9. Buffalo (STR/BU/STR in waiting)
10. Cincy (BU)
11. Minnesota (BU/STR if Favre doesn't come back)
12. Seattle (BU/STR in waitng)

nice list i would move cincinatti farther up the list IMO. i don't follow them very closely but i don't think they're having near the discipline problems they were having a few years ago. plus a good starter for him to learn under.

i agree washington is ideal.

I could see that. I wouldn't put them in the top 4 though.

but it would still require some effort on his part.

This is the key to the whole thing. He doesn't want to. He got his money and just doesn't care anymore. TOTAL BUST.

They did just sign Pacman.

I don't know if he has a chance to succeed. Like someone pointed out, his early numbers were not total bust type numbers. Perhaps he got discouraged. Who knows.

I would love to see him with a strong personality black coach. Someone he can really look up to and relate to.

San Fran or Indy would be my choices.

Washington, New England, Seattle would be my next choices.

I think Minnesota would be a disaster.

My post from another thread on the MSB:

quote:

Minnesota Vikings - Can sit (which he needs to do) behind Favre and would be taught by a true offensive coach in Brad Childress. Also goes to a very good team that doesn't need a QB to win games for them.

Cleveland Browns - Good QB mentor in Mike Holmgren. Bad thing is they don't have a lot of talent, so it might be more lackadaisical perfroming from JR in Cleveland.

Pittsburgh Steelers - Great orginization that would give him a chance to succeed and wouldn't ask him to be the starter from day one. (Although he may have the chance to start the first four to six games.)

Houston Texans - Back-up to Shaub on a really underrated team. Shaub gets hurt a lot and everyone knows that the back up is always the favorite guy on the team, so that may help rebuild his reputation. JR tossing up balls to Andre Johnson would be a pretty good tandum.

Jacksonville Jaguars - Not a lot of depth in Jax at QB. Not a great team either. Not a lot of distractions either though. Not the best fit, but a possibility.

Buffalo Bills - They have Brohm, Brian, Levi Brown, Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick. He may sit for a little while, but they have a decent team. There's not a lot to get distracted by in Buffalo, but it is close to NY city, so not sure how that whould work out.

Philadelphia Eagles - I think this would be a really good fit. I think Vick could teach JR a few lessons about straigtining up your act as a QB in the NFL (if JR would listen) and he would be able to learn the west coast system from a great coaching staff.

Washington Redskins - May be the best fit. Sit behind McNabb who gets injured about twice a season. Great head coach and good team. If he was going to straighten up his act, this would probably be the place to do it.

Arizona Cardinals - Not a lot of distractions in Phoneix. Competition with Leinart, but he wouldn't have to be the starter right away. Great offensive talent and great coaching staff. The competition shouldn't be as tough either.

San Diego Chargers - Could sit behind Philip Rivers for a few years and learn from Norv Turner. Good offensive talent and a good team.

Kansas City Chiefs - Good coaching staff and wouldn't be asked to start right away. May not be bad to get him around guys he familiar with in Niswanger, Travis Daniels, Dorsey, Bowe and Tyson Jackson.

IMO, the Vikings, Eagles, Redskins and Chiefs would be the best place so he wouldn't be asked to start right away. After that, I'd say Cardinals, Chargers, Steelers and Texans.
